Arizona State (7-11, 4-8 Pac-12) will play host to Washington in a Pac-12 game at 9pm ET Tuesday. It’s the first of two games in three days between the two as the Pac-12 attempts to work make-up games into the final two weeks of the regular season.
Washington (5-17, 4-13) has won two of its last three games and will spend the last week of the season in Arizona. The Huskies play at Arizona on Saturday following the two meetings with the Sun Devils.

Arizona State guard Remy Martin, who tested the NBA waters last summer before opting to return for his senior season, leads the Pac-12 in scoring at 20.3 points per game. He has 11 career 25-point games.
A Tale of Two Programs
Although the records are similar, Washington and Arizona State have gone in different directions over the last two months.
Washington has won two of its last three games and is a robust 7-4 ATS since a five-point road loss to Pac-12 co-leader UCLA. That was followed by an 84-80 upset homer victory over Colorado in mid-January.
A combination of injuries and COVID issues has sabotaged Arizona State since beginning in mid-December.
Arizona State has lost nine of its last 12 straight up and 11 of its last 14 ATS. A low point come in an 80-79 loss at UCLA on Saturday. The Bruins led only once, when Jaylen Clark made a free throw with 1.4 seconds remaining.
The Sun Devils led by 10 in the second half and were up 77-70 with 3:57 remaining.
Tsohonis Helps Lead Resurgence
Sophomore reserve guard Marcus Tsohonis has helped fuel the Huskies’ better play since becoming an integral part of the rotation. He had 14 points in an 84-80 victory over Colorado on Jan. 20.
The 6-foot-2 Tsohonis is averaging 13.0 points a game in 17 conference games in the Pac-12 and trails only starting point guard Quade Green (14.8) in season scoring.

Tsohonis had 29 points, including the game-winning jumper in the final second of a 65-63 victory over Washington State on Jan. 15. in one of his two starts this season. He has five 20-point games this season, three in the last seven, and is 10-of-21 from three-point range in his last four games.
Junior transfer Erik Stevenson also has stepped up, posting all nine of his double-digit scoring games in the Huskies’ last 12.
ASU and Its Missing Pieces
Arizona State has not played a game with its full roster this season, and the most costly losses have been to freshmen NBA draft candidates Josh Christoper and Marcus Bagley.
Christopher has missed the last three games after suffering a back injury while taking a hard fall in the first half of a 75-64 home loss to Oregon on Feb. 11. Bagley has missed the last four games with an ankle injury. The status for each remains unknown.
The 6-foot-5 Christopher is averaging 14.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Bagley, the brother of Sacramento Kings forward Marvin Bagley III, is averaging 11.8 points and 6.1 rebounds.
Christopher is projected to go between the mid-first and early second round of the 2021 NBA draft if he leaves school.
By the Numbers
ASU has won three of its four Pac-12 home games straight up, 1-3 ATS. It is 2-5 ATS in league home games. Washington is 3-5 ATS in Pac-12 road games but has covered its last two at Washington State and Oregon.
Arizona State has won four of the last six in the series. Washington has won 12 of the last 17, including six of the last eight in Tempe. The Huskies won 90-83 in Tempe last season.
The teams are No. 11-12 in the league in rebounding and rebounding margin, offsetting each’s greatness weakness. The Huskies are being outrebounded by 8.6 per game. Arizona State is at 8.7.
Washington forward Jamal Bey (9.7 points per game) leads the Pac-12 shooting 52.9% for three-point range. The Huskies, attempting to avoid the fifth 20-loss season in program history, are in the middle of a stretch in which it will play eight games in 17 days.
