Week 3 of college football begins on Friday, September 13th.

There are some interesting betting lines that provide good value in Week 3.

Oklahoma is listed as 24-point favorites over UCLA after putting up 70 points against South Dakota in Week 2.

Here are three picks for Week 3.

Oklahoma vs UCLA Odds

Team Spread a Moneyline Total
Oklahoma (#5) -24 (-110) O 73 (-110)
UCLA +24 (-110) U 73 (-110)

All odds collected 09/10/19.

Oklahoma has looked dangerous through two games, laying 49 points against Houston in Week 1 and blowing out South Dakota 70-14 in Week 2. UCLA, meanwhile, has opened the season with back-to-back losses to Cincinnati and San Diego State in which they managed just 14 points in each game.

Oklahoma’s starting QB Jalen Hurts has been a monster through the first two games of the season, accounting for 814 total yards and nine total touchdowns. CeeDee Lamb, who is one of the best wide receivers in the nation, had six catches for 144 yards and a touchdown in Week 2.

The Sooners have won four of the last matchups against the Bruins, including a 49-21 victory in 2018. This is a mismatch in talent and a battle of two offenses that are going in different directions. Oklahoma had 423 yards passing and 310 yards rushing in Week 2, while UCLA ranks 127th nationally with 239.5 yards of total offense per game.

Hurts has gotten off to an explosive start, while UCLA starting QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson is 32-of-51 for passing 355 yards and two touchdowns on the season. He’s been sacked five times in two games.

The Bruins are 5-9 ATS under coach Chip Kelly and just lost to San Diego State for the first time in 23 matchups. Given UCLA’s offensive struggles thus far and Oklahoma’s strong start, the Sooners shouldn’t have a problem covering the spread in Week 3.

Pick: Oklahoma (-24)

Ohio State vs Indiana Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Ohio State (#6) -14 (-110) O 61 (-110)
Indiana +14 (-110) U 61 (-110)

Ohio State has looked very strong entering Big Ten play in Week 3. The Buckeyes beat Florida Atlantic 45-21 in Week 1 before blowing out Cincinnati 42-0 in Week 2. Starting QB Justin Fields is a dark horse candidate in the Heisman Trophy race after he completed 38 of 50 passes for 458 yards and six touchdowns in the first two games.

Indiana is also 2-0 on the season after beating Eastern Illinois 52-0 in Week 2. Starting QB Michael Penix Jr. is 38-of-60 for 523 yards and two touchdowns in two games.

The Buckeyes are riding the nation’s second-longest winning streak at eight games and have won 23 consecutive games against Indiana dating back to 1990. Ohio State prevailed 49-26 in a close game last season and should win by at least two touchdowns again this time around.

Indiana may be undefeated on the season, but they’re yet to face tough competition. They’ve struggled in the past against the Buckeyes speedy offense, losing by an average of 20.8 points in their last five meetings with Ohio State. The Buckeyes have also covered the spread in six of their last eight visits to Indiana Memorial Stadium.

This should be a good game, but I don’t believe the Hoosiers have the tools to shutdown OSU’s high-powered offense. Fields finished 20-of-25 for 224 yards and two touchdowns last week, while J.K. Dobbins was a force on the ground, carrying the ball 17 times for 141 yards and two touchdowns.

Indiana will once again struggle to keep up with OSU’s speed, and the Buckeyes will cover.

Pick: Ohio State (-14)

Maryland vs Temple Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Maryland (#21) -7.5 (-110) O 64 (-110)
Temple +7.5 (-110) U 64 (-110)

Check out the top Maryland online sportsbooks before wagering on the Terrapins.

Maryland has been a force through their first two games of the season. The Terrapins beat Howard 79-0 in their first game under coach Michael Locksley before defeating a ranked Syracuse team by a 63-20 score in Week 2. Quarterback Josh Jackson completed 21 of 38 passes for 296 yards and three touchdowns against the Orange and is up to seven TD passes on the season.

Temple is coming off a bye week after beating Bucknell 56-12 on August 31. Starting QB Anthony Russo finished 32-of-41 passing for 409 yards and four touchdowns in the opener.

Maryland’s explosive offense has been one of the early surprises of the college football season. They’re averaging 636 yards of offense per contest and currently have the Big Ten’s top rushing attack. They’ve also been sound defensively with five returning starters from the 2018 team. The Terrapins have allowed just 20 points, giving up an average of 234 yards per game.

There are question marks surrounding this Temple team, and they didn’t look at their best in Week 1. The Owls have lost their top two running backs in Ryquell Armstead and Rob Ritrovato, in addition to losing receiver Ventell Bryant. Delvon Randle, their leading safety, also graduated last year.

Temple is unproven, and Maryland will be eager for revenge after losing 35-14 at home last year. Look for Maryland to ride the momentum into Temple and utilize their dangerous offense to cover the spread.

Pick: Maryland (-7.5)
