Has there been a bigger disappointment this season than Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense? Fresh off back-to-back MVP seasons, Rodgers enters play on Sunday Night Football versus Buffalo with the NFL’s 26th best quarterback rating. Green Bay ranks 23rd in points per game, and 21st in total offense.

Life won’t get any easier for the Packers (3-4, 1-2 away) versus a Bills (5-1, 2-0 home) defense that ranks first per DVOA.

We’ll be fading most of Green Bay’s offense in our Packers vs Bills same-game parlay, but first we’ll turn our attention to Josh Allen, who is playing as well as any quarterback in the NFL.

Buffalo is currently a 10.5 point favorite, making Rodgers a double-digit underdog for the first time in his career. You might think that could lead to a run heavy script for Buffalo if they get up big, but the Bills throw the ball relentlessly even when playing from ahead.

Buffalo leads the league in pass rate over expectation, clearing the way for us to make Allen’s arm the anchor of our SNF SGP.

SNF SGP Pick #1: Josh Allen Over 254.5 Passing Yards

Allen has cleared this number in all but one game this season. He averages 330 passing yards per game and 40 attempts. No quarterback grades out higher than Allen per Pro Football Focus, while his 8.3 yards per attempt is second among starters behind only Tua Tagovailoa.

Allen is fresh off throwing for 329 and 424 yards in back-to-back performances, and there’s a good chance he clears this number by halftime.

The Bills also lead the league in third down conversion rate, making it nearly impossible to get their offense off the field unless they score. No wonder one of our experts is expecting them to cover in the Packers vs Bills picks.

SNF SGP Pick #2: Green Bay Packers Under 24.5 Points

Green Bay has scored more than 22 points twice all season, needing overtime to get there in one of the two instances. They rank 14th in the pass game per DVOA, which feels like a very generous rating.

Rodgers has yet to exceed 255 yards passing, and will be without number one wideout Allen Lazard on Sunday Night Football per the Packers vs Bills injury report.

Buffalo on the other hand, just held the Chiefs, who rank number one on offense per DVOA, to 20 points. They’ve kept their opponent under 21 points in 10 straight regular season games, which is the second longest streak in franchise history.

SNF SGP Pick #3: Robert Tonyan Over 19.5 Receiving Yards

Buffalo is drawing the majority of the spread tickets in the Packers vs Bills public betting splits. Everyone and their uncle expect Green Bay to be playing from behind in this matchup, and if that’s the case expect plenty of volume for Robert Tonyan.

He’s one of the few pass catchers Rodgers trusts. Rodgers made it clear he’s sick of players playing who keep making mistakes, and Tonyan is always a name you hear number 12 praise. Tonyan leads the team in receptions and has exceeded 20 receiving yards in six of seven starts.

He’s seen 16 targets over the past two weeks alone, both in games where Green Bay was trailing for the bulk of play. Tonyan turned those 16 targets into 13 catches and 122 yards, and has a 83% reception rate this season. Fire up Big Bob Tonyan in the Packers vs Bills players props.
