PIT vs MIA SGP Pick #1: Najee Harris Under 54.5 Rushing Yards

Pittsburgh will enter play as a 7.5-point underdog, and the majority of bettors in the Steelers vs Dolphins public betting splits expect this matchup go to in Miami’s favor. If that’s the case, Pittsburgh will likely be forced to abandon the run game earlier than they’d like, but even if they can keep it close, they’d be wise to lean on a pass-heavy script.

For one, the Dolphins run defense is incredibly strong, while their pass D is weak. Miami ranks seventh per DVOA against the run, but 31st versus the pass.

Harris, meanwhile, has looked like he’s been running in quicksand all season. He’s showed little burst and is averaging only 3.2 yards per carry, which ranks 50th among all running backs.

Harris has reached 50 rushing yards in only two of six games this season, one of which came against Cleveland’s 30th ranked run defense.

PIT vs MIA SGP Pick #2: Kenny Pickett Over 219.5 Passing Yards

There was worry in the Steelers vs Dolphins injury report that Pickett wouldn’t be ready for this game, but after clearing concussion protocol he’s good to go. The rookie has looked good when he’s been on the field, throwing for over 300 yards in the only game he started and finished.

Last week, he got off to a fast start against the Bucs, completing 61% of his passes with a touchdown versus a very good defense before leaving with a head injury. Now, he’ll face a Miami secondary that has yielded the seventh most passing yards per game. He’s a great value in the Steelers vs Dolphins player props to exceed his passing yards over/under and has no shortage of weapons to choose from.

Not many teams boast a three receiver set more talented than Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool and George Pickens. In a game where Pittsburgh should be playing from behind, expect a big night from Pickett.

Steeler vs Dolphins SGP Pick #3: Tua Tagovailoa Over 249.5 Passing Yards

Sticking with passing volume, Tagovailoa’s arm was one of the main reasons the Dolphins led the NFL in points per drive prior to his injury. His first game back profiles as a favorable matchup, as the Steelers are coughing up the third most passing yards in the league per game.

He’s got the league’s leading receiver in Tyreek Hill at his disposal, as well as Jaylen Waddle, his former Alabama teammate, who’s recorded the fifth most receiving yards.

Tagovailoa has averaged over 300 yards in the three games he’s started and finished this season, and is poised for another big night in his return. As pointed out in the Steelers vs Dolphins picks, Miami scored 76 points in their first 10 quarters this season, but only 48 points total in the three games that Tagovailoa sat.
