  • All eyes will be on Tampa Bay when the Buffalo Bills take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 14 on Sunday, December 12th
  • Both teams figured to play into the Super Bowl race at the beginning of the season and are still big players right now

NFL bettors will want to brace themselves for an action packed few hours when the Buffalo Bills (7-5) take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-3). Kickoff from Raymond James Stadium is scheduled for 4:25pm ET with Jim Nantz and Tony Romo on the call. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s with a slight wind and no precipitation to speak of. Just perfect football weather.

The Bills will be on high alert after losing a big one 14-10  last week to the New England Patriots. Weather was a major factor as winds were gusting at a ridiculous 50+ mph rate but it still shows up as a loss in the record books. The Buccaneers were a little more fortunate in their matchup with a division foe as they downed the Atlanta Falcons 31-17.

The latest odds are showing Tampa Bay as 3.5-point favorites after being -3 for some of the week. The total is hovering at 54 and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it close even higher.  As always, there are plenty of player props to consider and that is what we will talk about here.

Stop Sleeping on Bills’ Gabriel Davis

The Buffalo Bills will need to score points to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday. It sounds dumb to say that but dropping 10 this week won’t get the job done. Luckily for the Bills, they aren’t playing in hurricane force winds this week. That will definitely help the passing game a little.

To be more specific, Gabriel Davis.

Davis doesn’t get a ton of shine in Buffalo with Stefon Diggs and Emmanuel Sanders also running routes but he’s nice. He doesn’t play a ton of snaps but he’s involved enough that he can cash some props for us. Last week he was only on  the field for 28% of the snaps which can be attributed to the weather but in the previous games he’s been out there 40+% of the time.

We could also see a little more of Davis given the fact that the Buccaneers sport one of the best run defenses in the NFL. The Bills aren’t great running the ball anyway so they could just sell out and throw the ball. The Buccaneers are likely to hang a few points, and the game script should support a guy like Davis.

On the season, Davis has a 13.13 ADOT which is a decent mark given his prop numbers this week. What’s even better is the fact that the Buccaneers have given up more 20+ yard receptions than every team in the NFL except one (Raiders). Davis is in line to cash both his longest reception prop and his receiving yards prop on the same play this week.

Both of these props are definitely worth a bet.

  • The Pick: Gabriel Davis Over 15.5 longest reception (-115) wager 1.15 units to win 1 unit
  • The Pick: Gabriel Davis Over 23.5 receiving yards (-115) wager 1.15 units to win 1 unit
  • SBD 2021 NFL Player Props Record: 22-27, -3.99 Units

Rob Gronkowski Is a Touchdown Machine

The touchdown scorer prop is always a must bet. Especially for the 4:25pm ET games when two teams that could be in the Super Bowl are playing. Imagine not having a touchdown scorer prop in a Super Bowl preview. Definitely couldn’t be me.

The obvious candidate for this game is none other than Rob Gronkowski.

Only three teams in the NFL have given up fewer touchdowns to the tight end position this season than the Buffalo Bills. It feels crazy to target them in this game but we’re talking Rob Gronkowski here. The man is an animal who has caught six in just seven games played.

When you dive deeper into the Bills’ tight end numbers, you’ll see why they haven’t given up many touchdowns to tight ends. They’ve faced the fewest targets to the position. Tight ends can’t catch touchdown passes if the quarterbacks don’t throw them the ball. That’s just science and that should change this week.

  • Pick: Rob Gronkowski to Score a Touchdown (+150); Wager 1 unit to win 1.5 units
  • SBD 2021 Touchdown Scorer prop record: 18-31, -3.96 units
