  • Same-Game parlays are taking the online sports betting world by storm
  • Like playing the Lottery, you can wager a little to win a lot, and while they rarely hit there are ways to correlate your bet to increase your chance of success
  • See the crazy 1250-1 Same-Game parlay we made for the AFC Championship Game below

Single-Game parlays are all the rage in the sports betting world these days. You can wager a little to win a lot, similar to playing the Lottery. Now make no mistake, much like playing the Lottery, Single-Game parlays are rarely winners, especially if you push the envelop and really swing for the fences.

However, it’s a fun way to sweat the game and there’s actually a way to build your parlay to increase your chances of success – more on that later.

For anyone new to sports betting who may be thinking what’s a parlay? It’s a type of wager where two or more bets are tied together to create one bet that offers a more substantial payout. The catch is that all of the selections within your parlay must be winners for the bet to cash.

With the AFC Championship Game between the Bengals and Chiefs looming, we’ve built a Single-Game parlay of our own, in an effort to cash in big. You can check out the Bengals vs Chiefs odds to see where everything else stands ahead of kickoff.

Odds as of Jan 28th at Barstool Sportsbook

KC is currently a 7.5-point favorite over Cincinnati, in a game that features a total of 54.5 in the NFL odds. That tells us two things. First, oddsmakers expect a shootout, and second, they expect the Bengals to be playing from behind. We can use that information to help correlate our parlay, effectively limiting the amount of things we need to get it right in order to win big.

Typically, shootouts result from both teams putting up big numbers through the air. That will especially be the case for the Cincy side if they’re trailing, as they’ll need to air out in an attempt to rally. That means Joe Burrow’s pass rate will likely exceed expectation, and his receivers could get peppered with more volume than oddsmakers are anticipating.

Game Total of 59.5 Points

If the AFC Championship Game really goes nuts, like last Sunday’s Divisional Round matchup between the Bills and Chiefs, we could be staring at a 60+ point game.

Cincinnati and KC played to a 34-31 result just a few weeks ago, so it makes sense to chase an alternated total that offers better odds. Over 59.5 points pays +175, as oppose to a -110 payout if the game simply goes over the current total of 54.5.

Joe Burrow Over 289.5 Passing Yards

Burrow has cleared 300 yards in five of his past seven games, including in Week 17 against the Chiefs. That day he threw the ball 39 times for 446 yards, averaging 11.4 yards per attempt.

Burrow has attempted at least 34 passes in four straight games, all of which the Bengals won. If they’re trailing we can expect his volume to be ramped up.

Ja’Marr Chase Over 86.5 Receiving Yards

Burow’s number one target is averaging 154 receiving yards per outing in the past four games he started and finished. Last time he faced KC, he tallied 266 receiving yards. If Burrow has a big game, Ja’Marr Chase will too.

Tyler Boyd Over 39.5 Receiving Yards

Chase can’t hog all the production however. Boyd was quiet in the Divisional Round versus the Titans, but the Chiefs are vulnerable in the slot.

Cole Beasley tagged them for 6 catches and 60 receiving yards last week, while Boyd has eight games with at least 49 receiving yards this season.

Ja’Marr Chase Anytime TD

Chase was a touchdown machine in the regular season, racking up 13 TD catches. That ranked third in the league, and he found the end zone three times versus KC in Week 17. The Bengals vs Chiefs props show that he’s a glaring value to score on Sunday.

Tyler Boyd Anytime TD

Chase isn’t the only Bengal wideout with a nose for the end zone. Boyd caught 5 touchdowns this season, and has scored in four of his past five games overall.

Joe Burrow Over 1.5 TD Passes

If we’re banking on both Chase and Boyd to score, Burrow over 1.5 TD passes is a lock to be included in this Same-Game parlay.

Tyreek Hill Anytime TD

If we’re projecting a ton of points from this game, the Chiefs are going to have to do their fair share of scoring as well.

Tyreek Hill tied for the team lead in touchdown catches this season with 9, and has scored in each of K-C’s first two playoff games.

Travis Kelce Anytime TD

Travis Kelce also caught 9 touchdowns in the regular season, and sent the Chiefs to the AFC Championship Game by hauling in the game-winning score against the Bills. He’s Mahomes’ favorite weapon in the red zone, and has scored in five straight games.

Patrick Mahomes First TD Scorer

The last leg of our parlay is a leap of faith, but bear with me. Mahomes amps up his rushing production in the playoffs. He averages just 18.8 rushing yards per game in the regular season over his career, but 30.4 rushing yards per contest in the playoffs.

He’s rushed for just 8 touchdowns in 63 career regular season starts, but last week he found the end zone with his legs for the fifth time in 10 career playoff starts. Four of his five postseason rushing touchdowns have been KC’s first score of the game, while three of those TD were the game’s first touchdown as well.
