  • The Dallas Cowboys visit the Philadelphia Eagles in the final week of the regular season
  • Last week’s prop picks: 3-1. Overall: 28-37, -3.63 units
  • See the odds, spread, analysis, and best prop bets below

In a game with so many fireworks, it was the prop bets with the smallest figures between the Bengals and Chiefs that pushed us to a super successful Week 17.

It gives us a chance to finish strong, but it it’s not going to be easy (is it ever?) as we scan the board when the Dallas Cowboys visit the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 18.

With both teams locked into playoff spots and no chance at that ultra-valuable top seed that comes with the lone first-round bye, there’s uncertainty about who’s going to play, and if they do, for how long.

That’s a major reason so few prop bets had been posted just a few hours before an 8:15pm ET kickoff.

So it’s a sparser set of wagers, but don’t let that deter you. There’s still plenty of chances for you to cash in on this NFC Eats battle. Let’s go!

And just a reminder: as you’re making your player prop picks all weekend, be sure to find out what NFL teams are resting starters in Week 18.

Kenneth Gainwell Rushing Yards

Even if the Eagles wanted to give Gainwell the night off, he’s currently the only legit running back that can suit up for a Philly rush attack that ranks first in the league.

Miles Sanders suffered a broken hand in Week 16, and getting healthy is his major priority. Boston Scott and Jordan Howard are on the COVID-19/reserve list. They had been a huge part of that successful (but fantasy-killing) timeshare with Sanders and Gainwell.

It’s likely that all three will be a go for Philly’s playoff game, so the Eagles can trot Gainwell out there for some meaningful touches.

He’s definitely fresh: since November, the 2021 5th-round pick has carried the ball two or less times in six of seven games, including three games he’s suited up with zero carries.

Philadelphia enters this game on a 6-1 run, thanks to a run game that churns out an NFL-best 160.3 yards per game on an average of 39 carries a contest.

Look for Gainwell to fill up on a lot of those stats.

Pick:

  • Gainwell OVER 60.5 rushing yards (1.5 units to win 1.31 units)

Amari Cooper Receiving Yards

It’s been more famine than feast for Cowboys’ receiver Amari Cooper in the last three weeks.

He was electric in that evisceration of the Washington Football Team, but then again, few weren’t. Cooper had seven grabs for 85 yards and a touchdown, but that’s been sandwiched between two forgettable efforts.

Cooper had just two catches for eight yards in Week 15 against the Giants, while a late TD grab helped offset a three-catch, 18 yard performance last time out against the Arizona Cardinals.

Assuming Dallas sticks to Jerry Jones’ philosophy of not resting their starters, Dak Prescott should be getting enough playing time to look right and get this offense in feel-good mode prior to the playoffs.

For most of the year, Cooper’s been good for it. Minus these last three games, he’s gone over that receiving total eight times in his previous 11 starts.

Expect him to bounce back against the Eagles.

Pick:

  • Cooper OVER 37.5 receiving yards (1 units to win 0.45 units)

Cowboys vs Eagles TD Scorers

Thanks, as always, to our good friends at DraftKings for the insight into scoring props heading into the week.

Ezekiel Elliott has scored at least one touchdown in five of Dallas’ last six games vs NFC East opposition, including the first score in two of Dallas’ last three games.

Buyer beware, however. Even with Tony Pollard out, Zeke has been banged up all year, and how much he plays is a question. Amari Cooper has scored a TD in three of the Cowboys’ last four games.

For the home side, Gainwell has found paydirt when in three of the last five games where the Eagles have been underdogs.

Picks

  • Gainwell to score anytime TD (1 unit to win 1.25 units)
  • Elliott to score FIRST TD (0.5 units to win 3.25 units)
