NFL Reduces Suspension of Broncos Jackson

The Broncos got a bit of good news when the NFL reduced Jackson’s suspension from four to two games following his appeal. This will be the second game of his enforced sit-down for a questionable hit on Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave.

The main issue for the Broncos on the injury front is at WR. Currently, the club is only listing four healthy WR. Brandon Johnson (hamstring), Jalen Virgil (knee) and Tim Patrick (Achilles) are all on IR.

TE Greg Dulcich (hamstring) is also on IR. However, the team offered an update on his condition this week, suggesting that Dulcich could return to action prior to season’s end.

Not All Bad News for Bills Defense

Hyde was injured when hit by Cincinnati OL Cordon Volson. Volson was fined for unnecessary roughness on the play.

Aside from the five aforementioned starters who are out for Buffalo, starting MLB Terrel Bernard is questionable.  He left the last Bills game after suffering a concussion.

However, the news isn’t all bad for the Buffalo defense. This week, safety Jordan Poyer (personal), LB Baylon Spector (hamstring), LB AJ Klein (back) and DE Leonard Floyd (illness) all saw their injury designations removed. Each will be playing in the Week 10 MNF game.

Likewise, Buffalo’s leading receiver Stefon Diggs (back) was also taken off the injury report and designated as healthy.

How Could Injuries Affect Broncos vs Bills Betting Lines?

The impact of the absences from the Buffalo defense can be seen in the score lines of the Bills games. Buffalo’s defense allowed 12.25 points per game through the first four games of the season while compiling 16 sacks. In the five games since, they’ve permitted 21 points per game and accounted for 13 sacks.

Offensively, if you’re getting action on the Broncos vs Bills player props, maybe take a long look at Buffalo TE Dalton Kincaid. Ever since TE Dawson Knox went on IR with a wrist injury, Kincaid has been a target machine. He caught 10 passes on 11 targets for 81 yards in last week’s loss to the Bengals.

To add depth to their WR corps, it’s expected that the Broncos will be elevating veteran Tre’Quan Smith from the practice squad. He was added from the practice squad for Denver’s win over Kansas City, seeing action on eight offensive snaps. Smith is only recently back from groin surgery.
