Odds taken October 27

The Bills have not covered their last two games but it’s been worse than that for Buffalo. After covering its opening two games, the Bills have gone 2-3 ATS over the last five weeks. Buffalo has also posted a 1-3 record ATS at New Era Field this season.

The Bills suffered just their second loss of the season — a 31-13 defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8.

With a game against the 1-7 Redskins lined up, the Bills have a great opportunity to bounce back against one of the worst all-around teams in the NFL.

The question is can they cover the spread?

The line opened at 10.5 in favor of Buffalo and look for it to hover around the same mark with little movement. The Bills are built on defense and don’t blow out a lot of teams. In fact, Buffalo has only defeated an opponent by 11 or more points once this season — a 28-14 win over the New York Giants in Week 2.

Steelers, Colts Listed as a Pick Game

Odds for the Week 9 matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Indianapolis Colts have been set to a pick.

The line for this game initially opened at -1 in favor of the Colts, but dropped to a pick, likely because the Steelers were 4-2 ATS heading into their Monday nighter against the Miami Dolphins.

How have the Colts been against the spread? Indy opened the season with a push, but since then, the Colts have covered four of their last six games.

If you’re basing this decision on recent success, look no further than Indianapolis being on a three-game win streak.

The other smallest spread for the week comes in the game between the visiting Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos. Cleveland hits the road as the intriguing +2.5 favorite.

Cleveland entered the season with such high hopes but the club dropped to third in the AFC North at 2-5. The Browns are 2-4 ATS this season and have only covered one game in their last three.

The Broncos have only won two games this season, but they’ve covered the spread three out of the last four games. Denver sits 4-4 ATS this season.

Total for Buccaneers, Seahawks Game Set at 53.5

Two of the league’s top offensive-producing teams are set to clash in Week 9, with the Seattle Seahawks hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in what could be a track meet and high-scoring affair.

The Bucs rank fourth overall in PTS/G, averaging 28.8 this season. Only the New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs have averaged more points per game during the regular season.

The Seahawks aren’t far behind in PTS/G production, averaging a 12th-best 25.9 heading into Week 9.

What other spreads, moneylines and totals should you be keeping a close eye on?

The 8-0 New England Patriots are 4-point favorites on the road to the 5-2 Baltimore Ravens who will be coming off their bye week on Sunday night.

Then the Monday nighter features a matchup between the Giants and Cowboys. While Dallas is heavily favored at -7, it’s important to note that the Cowboys have only covered one game in their last four games.

However, Dallas has had past ATS success, opening the season with three wins and covering each game during that stretch.
