Vikings Biggest Favorite

The Minnesota Vikings (1-0) are the largest picks on the boards at 7.5 points over the Detroit Lions (1-1) at home next Sunday.

The Lions (1-1) got their first win of the season Sunday when they beat the Washington Commanders 36-27 in Detroit.

Jared Goff threw of his four touchdown passes for Amon-Ra St. Brown to lead the Lions. Goff completed 20 of 34 passes for 256 yards.

Aidan Hutchison, the second overall pick in this year’s draft, had three sacks for the Lions, who built a 22-0 halftime lead. Will Harris had a key interception in the second half to thwart the Commanders’ rally.

The Vikings (1-0) visit the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night. Minnesota opened its season with a 23-7 victory over the Green Bay Packers in Week 1.

Titans vs Raiders Nearly Even

The Tennessee Titans (0-1) are the smallest favorites in Week 3 at one point over the visiting Las Vegas Raiders (0-2) on Sunday.

The Raiders remained winless after losing to the Arizona Cardinals 29-23 in overtime Sunday at home. Byron Murphy Jr. gave the Cardinals the win when he returned Hunter Renfrow’s fumble 59 yards for a touchdown with 3:51 left in OT.

In the first half, the Raiders took a 20-0 lead but couldn’t hold it. Quarterback Derek Carr passed for 252 yards but just 42 after halftime.

The Titans play Monday night against the Bills in Buffalo.

Highest and Lowest Week 3 NFL Game Totals

The Lions vs Vikings matchup has the highest opening total at 52 points. The Lions have scored 71 points in their first two games this season and given up 65.

The 38-point over/under for Texans vs Bears is the lowest total. Houston has managed just 29 points in two games but surrendered just 36 points.

Early NFL Week 3 Predictions

Jaguars vs Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers are seven-point choices over the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. That spread seems low.

The Jaguars (1-1) are better with Doug Pederson as coach, few would dispute that notion. However, the Chargers (1-1) are still one of the most talented teams in the league despite their loss to the Chiefs at Kansas City on Thursday night and the questionable status of quarterback Justin Herbert.

Pick: Chargers -7 (-110)

Bills vs Dolphins

The defending AFC East champion Bills visit the Dolphins, the team that might be best situated to dethrone Buffalo, on Sunday in Miami. The Bills are 4.5-point favorites.

The Dolphins (2-0) are playing loose and relaxed under new coach Mike McDonald. However, the Bills (1-0) are still the kings of the hill in the division.

Pick: Bills -4.5 (-115)

Packers vs Buccaneers

Two of the all-time great quarterbacks square off in Tampa on Sunday. Tom Brady and the Buccaneers (2-0) are favored by three points over Aaron Rodgers and the Packers (0-1)

The Buccaneers’ offensive has been spotty so far, but the defense has allowed just 13 points in two games. Perhaps that’s not a surprise after defensive coordinator Todd Bowles was elevated to head coach in the offseason. Look for the D to be the difference here.

Pick: Buccaneers -3 (-114)
