- Each of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last five games have seen at least 50 points
- The Seahawks have allowed 28.0 points per game at home this season
- The Bucs pass defense is ranked 31st in the NFL
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will visit the Seattle Seahawks this week in a game where bettors seem to love the under. The Bucs vs Seahawks odds opened up at 53.5 but the total has now crept down to 51. Is there value betting the under at this new number or will the number eventually go back up?

Seahawks Defense Has Struggled
Typically, when you think about the Seahawks playing at home in the Pete Carroll era, you’re thinking about the crowd charging up the defense in a smothering performance. However, this is a different Seahawks defense these days as they’ve really struggled to keep their opponents off the board – especially at home.
The Seahawks have played four home games and have allowed no less than 29 points in their last three while giving up an average of 28.0 points per game. The run defense is giving up 4.9 yards per carry – the third-most in the NFL – and the pass defense has generated just 13 sacks, the fourth-fewest.
#Seahawks blocking like its counter OT to the strong side then handing it to the back to hit it weak side is dope. Helps when you have Russell Wilson leaving the option for a QB run behind the pullers. pic.twitter.com/LRgKIcFi0V

There aren’t many good things to say about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but we do know that their offense tends to generate points. Their 28.0 points per game are the fifth-most in the NFL, so this could be a good matchup for them.
Bucs Defense Has Been Atrocious
Taking a look at the other defense that will be on the field on Sunday, the Bucs defense has been nothing short of atrocious. They’re allowed 30.3 points per game (third-most) and they haven’t allowed less than 27 points in a game since Week 2.

They’re allowing 285.9 passing yards per game – the second-most – so how will that fly with Russell Wilson on the other side? Wilson is having an MVP-caliber season with 17 touchdowns and just one interception so far. They’ve struggled to get pressure on opposing quarterbacks with just 16 on the season (24th in the NFL).
Is The Weather A Factor?
We’re look at mostly reasonable conditions on Sunday as CenturyLink Field is expected to see temperatures of about 12 degrees (54 Fahrenheit). There will be some clouds but only a 10% chance of precipitation along with mild winds at six kilometers per hour. As of now, it’s not a big factor.

Value With The Over
Given the two offenses here along with how porous the defenses have been, I actually see value with the over. Each of Tampa Bay’s last five games have seen at least 50 points and I don’t see a lot change. At 54, it was a bit of a stretch. Now you push with 51, so I see value there.
