Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov scored twice in Game 6. It was the third multi-goal game of his Stanley Cup career. Carolina’s Tony DeAngelo shares the Stanley Cup lead in assists by a defenseman with seven. Six of his seven helpers have come in home games.

The last two games, the Bruins welcomed back Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm from sick bay to strengthen their defense. Lindholm skated a game-high 24:38 in Game 6. But Boston also lost veteran rearguard Matt Grzelcyk to an undisclosed injury.

In Game 6 Swayman became the fifth Bruins rookie goalie to get a win when facing elimination. He’s the first since Mike Moffat in Game 6 of the 1982 Adams Division Final against the Quebec Nordiques.
