Goaltender Stuart Skinner is expected to be in the crease, as he’s outperformed free-agent signee Jack Campbell by a wide margin. In his last three starts, he’s allowed just two goals and pitched a shutout against potential first-round opponent Los Angeles. Connor McDavid simply cannot be stopped, as he has 27 points on a 14-game point streak. In all but seven of his 80 contests, McDavid has registered at least one point.
Edmonton has won six of seven against squads with winning records, with the lone loss coming to Vegas (4-3 in overtime).
Colorado Avalanche Betting Analysis
Midway through January, the defending Stanley Cup champion Avalanche were entirely pedestrian, winning as much as they’d lost (20-17-3). They’re still missing captain Gabriel Landeskog (knee), who hasn’t competed at all this season.
