New York Rangers Betting Analysis
New York comes into Toronto after one of their more dominating victories of the season Monday. The Rangers routed the Florida Panthers 6-2 behind three points from Mika Zibanejad, Adam Fox, and Artemi Panarin.

Typically, New York gets excellent efforts from their core in these routs and Monday was no exception. However, every new line scored and it did not hurt that the power play took advantage of its chance. Zibanejad converted the only power-play chance into a goal and New York never looked back.
What we call a team’s battery (Center, Wing, Defense, Goaltender) performed great. Adam Fox patrolled the blue line with great attention and Igor Shesterkin stopped 33 of 35 shots. Florida generated better chances for the most part but made critical mistakes on the road. Teams do not recover from self-inflicted wounds like that. When these players are rolling, that makes New York’s depth a little more dangerous.
Toronto Maple Leafs Betting Analysis
Now, the Toronto Maple Leafs turned that 4-4-2 start into a mark of 29-11-8. They went 25-7-6 since around Halloween, basically. Give the Leafs credit as Toronto finds ways to win games while getting top-notch production from their “Core Four”. Auston Matthews, William Nylander, Mitchell Marner, and John Tavares keep producing. Lately, Nylander has been red hot.
Going to try and give out player of the game for the Leafs after wins this season where I post clips of the player’s notable plays from the game.
For last night’s game against the Islanders Im going with William Nylander.

The Leafs enjoy an immense thrust in scoring while limiting scoring chances. Nylander is up to 26 goals and 56 points in 48 games. Four players have 47 or more points with Matthews leading the way in power-play goals with ten. This is one dangerous team with star power that can strike quickly. Toronto ranks just eighth in scoring at 3.4 goals per game but allow a mere 2.63 per contest. Pundits still get surprised by that fact.
Sadly, questions about goaltending persist with the Leafs. Odds to win the Vezina Trophy are of little consequence to Matt Murray and Ilya Samsonov. The tandem performed quite well in goal so far with Samsonov enjoying a decreased workload (20 games played so far).

Rangers vs Leafs Prediction
Now, the Leafs won five consecutive home games since being pummeled by Seattle 5-1 on January 5th. This game tonight gets top billing both in the US and Canada. It is a marquis matchup with star power. One crazy fact boils down to this. New York covered all of the previous five matchups. Toronto remains favored once more.
Rangers vs Leafs Same-Game Parlay Picks
Pick | Odds |
---|---|
Toronto Moneyline | -155 |
Under 6.5 Goals | -135 |
PARLAY ODDS | Â +175 |
The game could turn into a bit of a shootout or be much like the first matchup in Manhattan. Anything in-between figures not to be too likely.
Toronto showed against a tough-checking New York Islanders team that the Leafs had offensive punch in all phases. Can they do it again on Wednesday night? Six goals for the over/under remains troubling. That carries potential to push. Pushing the idea that Toronto could come out victorious in regulation has merit. Four of the previous five matchups have been decided in 60 minutes.
