  • NASCAR heads to North Wilkesboro, NC, for the NASCAR All-Star Race set to run on Sunday, May 21st, 2023
  • The contending favorites include Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson, and Christopher Bell
  • Below are the NASCAR All Star Race predictions, picks, and betting odds ahead of Sunday night’s race

NASCAR takes a detour to give the fans an All-Star Race in North Carolina. North Wilkesboro Speedway is a 0.625-mile track with an uphill backstretch and downhill front stretch. The race distance totals 125 miles (200 laps). Which way will this track tilt on Sunday night?

This weekend’s race is a week after the Sunday Goodyear 400 where William Byron edged his way to victory at Darlington over Kevin Harvick. In a twist, both Ross Chastain and Kyle Larson crashed out.

The table below lists the complete slate of NASCAR Cup Series odds for the NASCAR All Star Race from North Wilkesboro (win, podium finish, and top-five finish). Under the table, find the All Star predictions and best bets for this weekend’s NASCAR action.

NASCAR drivers get around the track with an 100-100 stage lap setup when the flag drops for the Sunday night race beginning around 8:00 pm ET on FS1.

William Byron Stole One That Time

Wow, now this Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver got lucky at Darlington. William Byron was in the right place at the right time. He sped past Kevin Harvick and pulled away for a win by more than 3/4 of a second. It was quite the way to head into the break.

Yes, the Caesars Sportsbook come in with their differences. For one, Kevin Harvick is +900, but William Byron jams in at +800. Six drivers come in at +1000 or shorter.

Heading Into The Unknown

While Totoya excels at shorter tracks., the Hendrick Chevy’s in particular expect to be fast. So, NASCAR Cup Series odds still ride with Chevy (first four drivers now) but again those odds do not matter here so much. This race is all about winning for the cash! It will be interesting to see how the oval races in practice and qualifying then the open race.

Correlation is unique for this one..

Practice begins Friday afternoon at 4:00 pm ET. Friday qualifying begins at 5:45 pm ET. Saturday night features two heats that will determine the rest of the order for the Sunday race.

NASCAR All Star Race Predictions & Picks

So, Friday looks great again for practice and qualifying. Sunday evening should be fine as well. The heats may see a shower or two on Saturday night.

Qualifying will be fun. Could someone steal the pole unexpectedly? Temperatures will be falling through the 70’s.

Can Kyle Larson win another All-Star Race? Does William Byron win again like last year? Or will Ryan Blaney repeat as he won at Texas last year. Anything can happen in these races.

Again, do keep an eye on the weather. It can often change unexpectedly this time of year and forecasts days out do not always pan out.

Here are our best bets:

  • Top Pick: Martin Truex Jr. to Win (+1000)
  • Other Contenders: Kyle Larson (+650), Kevin Harvick. (+700), Denny Hamlin. (+1100), William Byron (+850)
  • Longshots:  Brad Keselowski (+2800), Daniel Suarez (+3500), Ryan Blaney (+1800)
