If you’re new to this sport and need advice on soccer betting’s pros and cons, there are plenty of directions you can go to betting this match and others.

The Old Lady Unbeaten in 11 in Serie A

Juve is on a good run and Danilo’s late equalizer last weekend against Atalanta to earn a 1-1 draw stretched their unbeaten run to 11 league games. They still have work to do, however, to close the nine-point gap between themselves and leaders AC Milan and are in no position to drop points if they want to play Champions League soccer next season.

They have won three of their last five in Serie A and have a good home record where they have picked up points in all but three games at the Allianz Stadium, conceding just eight goals in the process.

Juve the Kings of the Turin Derby

In order to maintain their quest for Champions League soccer next season, I Bianconeri must either match or better last season’s fourth-place finish and they have the quality in their squad to do. They have shown this by performing well in the UCL this season where they have an upcoming round of 16 first leg away to Villarreal, as well as a Coppa Italia semifinal against Fiorentina.

Coach Massimiliano Allegri will need to carefully balance his resources on all three fronts in order to give his team a chance of winning all three but will be aware of the importance of the Turin derby – known as the Derby della Mole – to Juve’s fans. It is a match in which they hold the upper hand, winning 74 of their 153 top-flight meetings.

Mid-table Comfort for Torino

Torino’s rivalry with Juve has been one-sided in recent seasons and we have to go back to April 2015 for their last victory – a narrow 2-1 win on their home patch. For a win on Juventus soil, we have to go even further back – to the 1994-95 season.

The last few seasons have been difficult ones for Il Toro who have been unable to get even close to matching their illustrious neighbors and have, in fact, finished in 16th and 17th places respectively over the last two seasons – avoiding relegation last term by just four points. This season has been a better one for them however and they sit comfortably in mid-table – 11 points clear of the drop zone.

No Wins in Three

But unlike Juve, Torino’s form coming into this game is not good, having taken just a single point from their last three Serie A games. A draw with Sassuolo on January 23 was followed by consecutive defeats against Udinese and Venezia, and so Ivan Juric’s team heads into this derby as massive underdogs.

But this is not the unbeatable Juve team of old and they no longer dominate Italian soccer.  When these two met on Torino soil in October the Old Lady managed a narrow 1-0 win but in this same fixture last season it ended 2-2.

Juventus vs Torino Picks

With Juve likely to have one eye on the upcoming UCL clash with Villarreal, Torino is capable, despite their poor recent run of form, of getting something from this game. A win for Il Toro may be pushing it a bit but they have enough in the tank to earn a point here.

Picks: Juventus and Torino to draw (+295) / Juventus and Torino to draw 1-1 (+650)
