Over/Under and Spread
After four goals in last week’s first leg, the bookies clearly feel there are more goals to be had between these two clubs, with over 2.5 goals currently listed at -108, versus -115 for the possibility of it being a less open contest.

Either way it should be another cagey affair, with both teams fancying themselves to win the match – and the title – with Seattle currently at +215 against a spread of -1.5.
Home Sweet Home
The fact that the Sounders are playing the second leg at home could be crucial for a couple of factors. Firstly, Seattle is unbeaten at home, having conceded just the one goal there in three tournament games (against New York in the semifinal).
THIS. WILL. BE. HUGE.
Today, the day before the final, the Sounders have sold over 67,000 tickets. However, expect that number to jump to over 68,000 by tomorrow! This will beat the current record of 66,208.

Perhaps more important though is the fact that history is on their side, with the team playing the second leg at home triumphing in 88% of CONCACAF Champions League finals.
Seattle’s Offensive Juggernaut
With 15 goals through 3.5 rounds, Seattle is highest scoring team in the competition, so the smart money is on this game going over 2.5 goals. Chief among Seattle offensive playmakers is Cristian Roldan, who has a Champions League-high five assists thus far, while Nicolas Lodeiro leads the way for the Rave Green with four goals.
Don’t Sleep On Dinenno
With nine goals so far, including the opening pair of this year’s final first leg, Pumas boast the most in-form striker in the entire competition in the shape of Juan Ignacio Dinenno. The Argentine forward has found the net in five of Pumas’ seven games thus far, and showed his nose for the net is in fine form on the weekend too, scoring twice off the bench to help his team clinch a domestic playoff spot.

Much like some other strikes in the competition, Dinenno seems to save his best performances for CONCACAF, with his nine goals in seven games far bettering his rate of eight goals in 28 Liga MX contests.
Pumas Power
Unlike Seattle, which is trying to become just the fifth team to win the tournament going unbeaten, Pumas have lost a game in this year’s competition, when they fell 3-0 away at New England Revolution in the quarter-finals. But like Seattle, they have won three games, most notably in the second leg of that tie, when they triumphed 3-0 at home before going through after a penalty shootout.

Unlike many of its Mexican rivals, UNAM has not yet won the CONCACAF Champions League under its present format. The team won three Champions Cups, the last of which came in 1989, but will be heavily motivated to add a new trophy to its cabinet in its first final appearance.

The Final Analysis
Seattle is following in a line of MLS clubs (Real Salt Lake, CF Montreal, Toronto FC & Los Angeles FC) who have reached this stage and not managed to lift the trophy. But few of those clubs displayed the kind of poise and confidence that Seattle did in the opening leg last week, and in front of a record-breaking crowd, expect the Sounders to become the first MLS club to win this iteration of the tournament. And to win by margin on the spread or Asian Handicap.
