The 2019 US Open begins August 26th and will be played at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York. We’ve been tracking the odds of every player involved leading up to the event, and have charted them below in a series of easy-to-follow graphs. Each graph has been generated by averaging the odds from multiple sportsbooks to give you a better sense of each player’s true chance of winning the 2019 US Open.

  • [Sept 7] Nadal is a huge -590 favorite over Medvedev in the Men’s Singles Final
  • [Sept 5] Once 250-1 odds, Matteo Berrettini is now into the semis and has seen his odds shorten to 20-1
  • [Sept 3] With Novak Djokovic eliminated, Rafael Nadal finds himself the -130 odds-on favorite ahead of the quarterfinals
  • [Aug 30] Through the second round now, Nick Kyrgios’ odds have seen a large adjustment from +2800 to +1600
  • [Aug 28] After dropping a set in the first round, Roger Federer’s odds have worsened slightly from +620 to +700
  • [Aug 23] Alexander Zverev has seen his odds worsen from +1600 to +2600 after being drawn into the 4th Quarter with Rafael Nadal
  • [Aug 19] Daniil Medvedev’s odds have continued to shorten following his win at the Western & Southern Open. He’s now priced at +1700
  • [Aug 15] As second-tier players fall, like Alex Zverev (+1100 to +1600), there’s one huge riser: Daniil Medvedev. His strong hard-court season to date led to a jump from +6600 to +3300.
  • [July 15] From June 10 to July 15, the biggest mover is Wimbledon semifinalist Roberto Bautista-Agut whose US Open odds have shortened from +15000 to +6600

Novak Djokovic’s short odds just keep on getting shorter. The three-time US Open champ went from +190 on January 2nd to +130 on March 4th after defeating Rafael Nadal in straight sets to win the 2019 Australian Open.

US Open Odds for ATP Top 5 Men’s Singles Players

Juan Martin del Porto has been battling persistent injuries since 2018. The former US Open champ was forced to withdraw from the 2019 Australian Open and also missed the 2019 Mexican Open and 2019 BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells.

Juan Martin del Potro had a year to remember in 2009. In addition to winning the US Open, Delpo also won the Australian Open and the French Open and advanced to the semi-finals at Wimbledon.

US Open Men’s Singles Championships By Country

Americans have dominated the US Open historically, accounting for the first 22 titles. However, it’s been a different story recently. Andy Roddick was the last US-born player to win in Flushing Meadows, defeating Juan Carlos Ferrero way back in 2003.

  • [Sept 6] It’s a rematch of the Rogers Cup Final between Serena Williams and Bianca Andreescu, with Williams a heavy -280 favorite
  • [Sept 5] For the first time this tournament, Serena Williams is now the odds-on favorite with average odds of -120
  • [Sept 3] After taking out world No. 1 Naomi Osaka in the round of 16, Belinda Bencic now has odds of +700. She was +3800 prior to the tournament
  • [Aug 30] With Simona Halep’s shocking second-round defeat, Bianca Andreescu (also in the 2nd Quarter), has seen her odds improve from +1200 to +680
  • [Aug 28] Dealing with a forearm injury, Petra Kvitova, once +1800 last week prior to the tournament is now +3300
  • [Aug 23] Angelique Kerber has seen her odds worsen from +1300 to +2100 after being drawn alongside Serena Williams and Ashleigh Barty in the 4th Quarter
  • [Aug 19] After winning the Western & Southern Open, Madison Keys’ US Open odds have shortened to +1600. But big movements have also come on Sofia Kenin (+4100 to +2500) and Svetlana Kuznetsova (+17500 to +6100) since last week
  • [Aug 15] Even though Ashleigh Barty has relinquished the #1 ranking to Naomi Osaka, she has seen her odds improve from +1400 to +1000.
  • [July 15] Marketa Vondrousova and Amanda Anisimova have had strong 2019 seasons and their US Open odds have shortened from +5700 and +3000 to +2800 and +2200 respectively

Oddsmakers are so confident in Serena Williams’ ability to win her seventh US Open championship that her odds haven’t budged one bit since they were first released in October 2018.

US Open Odds for WTA Top 5 Women’s Singles Players

Keep an eye on Naomi Osaka. The 21-year-old saw her odds go from +1000 on January 2nd to +600 on March 4th after winning her second consecutive Grand Slam at the 2019 Australian Open. Could we be witnessing the ascent of tennis’ next great superstar?

Oddsmakers haven’t quite given up on Maria Sharapova, even if many fans and pundits have. The Russian pro won her last Grand Slam in 2014 at the French Open and hasn’t won a singles title since 2017 when she went 16-6.

It should come as no surprise that Americans have dominated the US Open since the very beginning, winning 26 of the first 28 championships. The last US woman to stand at center court was Sloane Stephens, who won her first Grand Slam title in 2017.
