The 2020 Australian Open returns to Melbourne Park on January 20th and runs until February 2nd. We’ve been tracking the odds for all of the top contenders since they became available and have charted them on this page. The graphs below are generated by calculating the average from a selection of sportsbooks.

Novak Djokovic passed Roger Federer and Australian tennis legend Roy Emerson in 2019 to become the all-time leader in Australian Open Men’s Singles Championships. He’ll look to cushion his lead with yet another title this February.

  • [Jan 29] Sofia Kenin, into her first semifinals at a grand slam event was 40-1 earlier this tournament, and now just 7-1
  • [Jan 27] The biggest underdog remaining is Ons Jabeur, who’s just +3650, but was as long as 250-1 after the first round
  • [Jan 25] After upsets of several top seeds including Serena Williams, Ashleigh Barty is now the top favorite at +285 ahead of the fourth round
  • [Jan 23] Wozniacki has extended her career for at least one more match and has seen her odds shorten from +6600 to +500 after her second round win
  • [Jan 21] Odds are fading on some of the top contenders after the first round. Prior to the tournament on January 13, Angelique Kerber and Elina Svitolina were +2500 and +1800 respectively, but are now +4000 and +2500. On the flipside, Danielle Collins was +6067 last week and is now shortened to +3300
  • [Jan 13] Bianca Andreescu has dropped out at second favorite and Serena just won the Auckland Open, leaving Serena now with +416 odds, shortened from +525 in November
  • [Nov 19] If anyone had the foresight to predict Bianca Andreescu’s rise to fame this year, you could’ve bet her at 50-1 odds in March. Today she is second-favorite to win 2020’s first grand slam with +625 odds.
  • [Sept 9] While Williams remains the favorite at +450, US Open champions Bianca Andreescu has seen her odds shorten from +5000 in March, to +700 after her first major win
  • [Mar 20] Serena Williams has opened with the shortest odds to win the Australian Open yet again. Williams has won this event seven times since 2003.
