  • [Sept 8] Alcaraz is the odds-on favorite at -110 heading into the semis
  • [Sept 6] Kyrgios is the top contender to win the US Open at +150 odds, ahead of Alcaraz at +200 entering the quarterfinals
  • [Sept 1] Into the third round, Matteo Berrettini’s odds have shortened from +2500 to +1400
  • [Aug 26] With Novak Djokovic unable to compete at the US Open, Daniil Medvedev becomes the new favorite at +225
  • [Jul 28] The biggest mover over the past month has easily been Nick Kyrgios, who’s average odds shortened from +10000 to +3300 after  his runner-up finish at Wimbledon
  • [May 17] No one has seen their odds shorten more than Carlos Alcaraz who after an amazing start to 2022 has seen his odds of +3300 on December, shorten to +550 in May
  • [Dec 23] The early favorite is Djokovic with +125 odds, followed by last year’s winner Medvedev at +300

Odds for Past US Open Men’s Champions

Daniil Medvedev won his first US Open title in 2021, defeating Novak Djokovic 6-4, 6-4, 6-4. There’s now been a different winner each of the past four years.

US Open Men’s Singles Championships By Country

Medvedev became the second Russian to win the event, with the first being Marat Safin in 2000.

The United States have a whopping 85 titles in the event, however no American has won since Andy Roddick in 2003.

2022 US Open Women’s Singles Top Contenders

  • [Sept 8] Jabeur is the longshot of the final four at the US Open at +500 odds
  • [Sept 6] Entering the quarterfinals, it’s Swiatek (+200) and Garcia (+400) as the top favorites
  • [Sept 1] Serena Williams’ odds keep shortening all the way down to +1400 after upsetting Anett Kontaveit in the second round
  • [Aug 26] Following her win in Cincinnati, Caroline Garcia went from off the board to now get odds as short as +1400.
  • [Jul 28] Swiatek’s odds continue to shorten as the US Open approaches, with her average odds to win now sitting at +223. Osaka has since faded to +825.
  • [May 17] Iga Swiatek’s odds have shortened from +1200 last year to +550 now, making her tied with Naomi Osaka as the top favorite.
  • [Dec 23] Ashleigh Barty is the early favorite at +500, while last year’s winner Emma Raducanu is currently the third favorite at odds of +600.

Odds for Past US Open Women’s Champions

It was an all-teenage final in 2021 with Raducanu of Britain, defeating Canadian Leylah Fernandez 6-4, 6-3. Fernandez has early odds of 18-1 in December. Naomi Osaka who won in both 2020 and 2018 has odds of +500 as 2021 comes to a close.

US Open Women’s Singles Championships By Country

With her win in 2021, Raducanu has brought the British total number of wins to five, level with Belgium. She is just the second from her country to win in the Open Era. Virginia Wade won way back in 1968, the first year of the Open Era.

Americans have generally dominated the event, but have just one win (Sloane Stephens in 2017) in the last seven years.
