As the Rams meet the Lions on Sunday, September 8, at Ford Field in Detroit, it’s the home squad who are set as three-and-a-half point favorites in the Week 1 NFL odds. Kickoff is set for 8:20pm ET and the game will be broadcasted on NBC in the US and The Sports Network (TSN) in Canada.

To end last campaign, Stafford went over the listed line of 278.5 yards in five of his last six contests. That includes the NFC Wild Card tilt against these same Lions, where he tossed for a whopping 367 yards.

Last season, Detroit was very susceptible to the pass, allowing the second most yards per game in the league. Stafford will have his full arsenal of weapons, with last year’s rookie standout Puka Nacua cleared to play (knee), along with trusted wideout Cooper Kupp.

Rams vs Lions Prop #2: Amon-Ra St. Brown Receiving Yards

It’s no secret that Amon-Ra St. Brown is one of the most dynamic wide receivers in the NFL. Last year, he racked up the third most yards (1,515), behind only Tyreek Hill and CeeDee Lamb. For this game, his over/under total is 84.5. Last season, he put up 85+ yards in eleven of 16 regular season contests, and two of three postseason affairs, for a total of 13 of 19 games.

Brown also hit that milestone in six of his last seven opportunities, and he’s up against a Rams D that was in the top half of the league in most passing yards allowed. In their Wild Card tilt, St. Brown had seven catches for 110 receiving yards.

If we are selecting Matthew Stafford to go over 278.5 passing yards, it stands to reason he might be lighting up the scoreboard also. Puka Nacua is coming back from a knee injury and might not be fully up to speed – enter old reliable Cooper Kupp.

Kupp managed to find pay dirt in four of his last five regular season games, and he should have plenty of opportunities to do it again against a D that’s struggled limiting receivers.
