Super Bowl 60 goes down tonight and both the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks received some good news on the injury front leading up to the Big Game.
For New England, Drake Maye is off the injury report and has no game designation after dealing with a right shoulder issue. The Pats defense still has questions about linebacker Robert Spillane (ankle) and EDGE Harold Landry III (knee), although both have expressed optimism that they’ll play.
Seattle meanwhile, appears to have dodged a bullet with star rookie safety Nick Emmanwori. The defensive rookie of the year finalist suffered an ankle injury in practice this week, but will not carry a designation into Super Bowl 60.
Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

Patriots Injury Report
While Spillane and Landry currently carry questionable tags, defensive lineman Joshua Farmer has been ruled out with a hamstring injury. Spillane suffered his injury early in the AFC Championship versus the Broncos, while Landry sat out the AFC Title Game against Denver to manage his lingering issue.
Drake Maye Cleared
There was never any doubt Maye was going to suit up in Super Bowl 60, the question was would his throwing shoulder give him any problems. Maye participated fully in practice each of the past three days, telling reporters he turned the corner on the way to San Francisco last Sunday. He’s reportedly feeling great and ready to cement his spectacular sophomore season with a Super Bowl ring.
Robert Spillane and Harold Landry Questionable
Spillane practiced on a limited basis the last two days which marked his first time back on the field since the AFC Championship. The 30-year-old led the team in tackles during the regular season with 97, and also chipped in 2 interceptions and a sack. More importantly, he’s the team’s primary defensive communicator. Spillane wears the green dot helmet, a role that Jack Gibbens would assume should Spillane not suit up.
Landry’s potential absence meanwhile, is a big blow to the Pats pass rush. He led the team with 8.5 sacks this season, and was one of only two New England defenders with more than 4 sacks. Landry practiced in a limited fashion this week, and if he can’t go, both Anfernee Jennings and Elijah Ponder would get more snaps.

Seahawks Injury Report
As for Seattle, only fullback Robbie Ouzts carries an injury designation. He’s questionable after getting limited practices in three times this week. Emmanwori was the biggest concern over the past two days, and his versatility is a big reason why the Seahawks ranked second in defensive EPA.
Nick Emmanwori Good to Go
Emmanwori plays the hybrid defender role in Mike Macdonald’s defense, similar to Kyle Hamilton in Baltimore. His ability to cover, pass rush and defend the run allows Seattle to play a nickel heavy scheme, but still excel at shutting down opposing run games.
Of all the defensive options for Super Bowl MVP, I think he’s the best as he can wreck the game in so many ways. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him force a fumble, record a sack, pick off a pass or block a kick. If any of those outcomes result in a defensive score for the rookie, an 80-1 ticket on him to win MVP would definitely be in business.
Sam Darnold and Charles Cross Designation Free
After dealing with an oblique injury earlier in the playoffs, Sam Darnold was a full participant in practice this week and isn’t experiencing any lingering issues. Darnold was masterful in the NFC Championship, throwing for 346 yards and 3 TD.
His blindside protector Charles Cross was also a full participant in practice on Friday, after playing through a foot injury in the NFC Title Game. Cross is the Seahawks highest graded pass blocker this season, yielding just one sack on 215 pass blocking snaps.
