2022 NBA MVP Odds

Sports Betting Dime
  • [March 30] The odds have shifted overnight, as Nikola Jokic has now become odds-on favorite to repeat as league MVP after a triple-double against the Hornets
  • [March 29] Joel Embiid’s odds have continued to shorten as we near April, now at an average of around -200 at most sportsbooks
  • [March 11] Embiid has been on a tear since the acquisition of James Harden, and is back to odds-on MVP favorite
  • [March 2] James Harden has looked rejuvenated since suiting up in a Sixers uniform, and it’s only boosted Embiid’s MVP odds – as he can now be found as short as -110 to win. DeMar DeRozan and Ja Morant’s odds also continue to shorten as they enjoy career best seasons
  • [Feb 17] Despite concerned Harden’s addition to the team could hurt Embiid’s MVP odds, that’s not the case as the Beard has yet to take to the floor. Joel Embiid’s price has shortened in to a stronger favorite, while Jokic and Antetokounmpo remain second and third in the odds. Steph Curry’s odds have continued fading
  • [Feb 8] With rumors swirling about a potential Simmons for Harden trade, could Joel Embiid’s MVP outlook improve by the deadline on Thursday? Now could be the time to get in on Giannis, Jokic or Curry if you think Harden will be heading to Philly to take away some touches for the big man
  • [Feb 3] Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic have been putting up monstrous stat lines for two weeks and carrying their respective clubs, surging to the top two MVP favorites
  • [Jan 27] As Steph Curry was in a slump over the past 10 days, Giannis Antetokounmpo has surged to favorites’ position, and Joel Embiid is now tied with Curry at average odds of +325. The 76ers big man has scored 30+ in six straight contests
  • [Jan 18] With Durant suffering a knee sprain and set to miss time, it looks like Curry’s MVP to win. With that being said, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Bucks are finally fully healthy and the Greek Freak has shortened average odds of +350 in wake of the Durant news. If you think KD still has a chance to win it if/when he returns, he can still be found at +1400 at FanDuel
  • [Jan 12] Curry remains the favorite – and it looks to be a two man race between him and Kevin Durant. DeMar DeRozan’s continued stellar play for the Bulls has pushed him in to the fringes of the race
  • [Dec 23] With Giannis Antetokounmpo in health and safety protocols, his odds have faded to +875 on average
  • [Dec 17] Durant’s odds have shortened to an average of +305, and with a return of Kyrie Irving in some capacity imminent, could push the Nets even higher
  • [Dec 10] Now returning to action, Luka Doncic’s odds have plateaued at an average of +2350 – can he get back in the race?
  • [Dec 3] Having avoided injury and playing great ball, Steph Curry has distanced himself as the heavy favorite at average odds of +150
  • [November 24] Steph Curry’s odds continue to shorten amidst his stellar play, now at an average of +200
  • [November 17] In Tuesday’s blowout win in Brooklyn, Curry dropped nine threes on the Nets and outplayed Kevin Durant pushing the Warriors to the best record in the league. As such, Curry’s odds shortened to solo favorite, an average of +273 from the leading sportsbooks
  • [November 9] Fresh off dropping 50 points against the Hawks on Monday night, Stephen Curry’s leading the best team in the league by record and his odds have shortened to +300 – ahead of both Durant and Antetokounmpo
  • [November 3] With the Mavericks struggling out of the gate, Doncic’s odds have continually slid as he’s now behind co-favorites Curry and Antetokounmpo as well as Kevin Durant who is doing it all for the Nets at average odds of +600
  • [October 26] After the season’s opening week, Jason Kidd’s hire has not meshed well with the Mavericks dropping Doncic’s odds – while former MVP winners Curry and Antetokounmpo have seen their odds shorten to between +600 and +650 depending on your book
  • [October 15] The Nets will not have Kyrie Irving as a team member due to his vaccination status, so Durant’s odds have shortened to an average of +600 – just behind the favorite Doncic
  • [October 5] With Kyrie Irving’s availability in question due to vaccination status, Kevin Durant could have an even heavier workload – as his odds have shortened to +700
  • [September 9] Russell Westbrook’s odds have shortened with him set to have a massive role for the Lakers during the regular season
  • [July 21] The Dallas Mavericks star has once again opened as an MVP favorite, with Joel Embiid and Kevin Durant at odds of +700. Can Giannis win his third MVP in four seasons? Antetokounmpo opens fresh off his title at +800 to win MVP
