NFL training camps have only recently opened, and already the league is dominating the sports news cycles. The storylines that are already hot topics include the possibility of an Aaron Donald return to the Rams; Stefon Diggs signing with the Commanders; several Tampa Bay Buccaneers players, including QB Baker Mayfield, facing contract issues; the 49ers’ injuries; and a feisty Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers preparing for what is expected to be his final season.
The NFL is truly unpredictable and strives for parity, so as many as half the teams in the league could make a reasonable case for a run at Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. With Polymarket and Splash Sports joining forces for the world’s biggest Survivor Contest, that interest will be multiplied. This is set to be the largest contest of this kind anywhere. Those taking part can use Splash to access the prediction market.
Since the partnership was announced and the basic concepts provided, more information is being rolled out in advance of the NFL’s Week 1 Kickoff Game on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026, in Seattle with a Super Bowl LX rematch between the Patriots and the champion Seahawks. For those interested in taking part in this opportunity, it is essential to know the benefits and the rules.

How Does the Polymarket/Splash Sports NFL Survivor Pool Work?
The largest Guaranteed Survivor Contest in history, with $21 million in prizes available, is now open. The contest features dramatic changes to the survivor concept, giving those taking part many more chances to win than they would have in past iterations of survivor pools. Polymarket and Splash Sports sought to eliminate the one major challenge with this type of contest: a few people (or one person) winning at the end of the year and everyone else left with their pockets turned out and the frustration that goes along with their effort going to waste.
The Polymarket and Splash Sports $21 Million NFL Survivor Pool opens the door for many winners instead of one or a few.
On the Marketplace, users can buy, sell, and trade Survivor entries partially or in their entirety. If, for example, the user has a successful Week 1, they can sell in Week 2 and walk away with their profit. Or they can move on and continue trying to add to their potential payout. This offer is always available.
There are three ways to trade:
- Put the entry up for sale
- Bid on the ones the user wants
- Wait for offers and decide whether to sell or to hold off
And it is not an “all or nothing” proposition. Buyers can take the entire thing outright; they can purchase control of the picks; or they can buy a piece for as little as 1%. This gives users almost infinite options based on their circumstances and goals. This means that the contest is not a matter of luck, timing, and skill, but gives strategic opportunities including the chance to sell the stake and depart in whole or in part without needing to worry about what happens in the next week’s slate of games.
Survivor has never had this before.
The key benefit with this when compared to other markets is the ease of use. If, for example, a sale is made, the entry goes directly from one person to the other. Or several people can be put on the same entry. There are no complexities involved, and the eye-rolling and frustrating aspect of paperwork, negotiation, and trusting strangers are removed. Also, buyers can make offers automatically with every Guaranteed Contest available on Splash beyond the $21 million. That means there will be a standing offer on entries 24/7.
The contest is already open with the benefit of the escape hatch to get out of the entry at any time.
A consistently requested feature is now available: Team Entries. In the past, it was done via a spreadsheet and payment app. Now, it is in the app itself. The user can cobble together a team, buy one or more entries, name a captain to make the calls, and share among friends and associates. This accords the chance to limit the risk by sharing it, splitting it, and enjoying the anticipation of competition and uncertainty. There is no platform fee.
To take part, sign up with the Polymarket promo code before the NFL season gets underway and get a $20 bonus after trading $10.
Know the Basics About the Polymarket Survivor Contest
The following rules have been in effect since Polymarket and Splash Sports opened this Survivor Contest.
The user must select a team or teams to win each week. They do not need to think about the derivatives that tend to be problematic with wagering using a point spread since there is no point spread. Either the selected team wins or loses. Think the Patriots will overcome their drama and beat the Seahawks in Seattle in the NFL Kickoff? Pick them. If they win, the user wins and survives.
Each team can be used once per season. There are eight “double pick” weeks every three weeks starting in Week 3 through Week 9. Then they restart from Weeks 12 to 16.
Picks need to be in every Sunday by 1:00 pm EST or by kickoff if an individual game is selected. If only one participant survives, they win the prize. If there is more than one winner, the prize is shared.
The registration will lock on Sept. 13, 2026, and the Splash Sports Survivor Page must be used to enter. The entry fee is $1,000. Users can enter as many as 150 times.
Prediction markets are the way of the future. The NFL has not yet come to an agreement with any prediction market, but that does not preclude fans from using them. Eventually, the NFL will make a mutually beneficial agreement to profit from this burgeoning way to get in on the action.
Fortunately for fans who want to profit from their football knowledge and maybe benefit from a little luck, the Survivor Pool is now open with a litany of ways to jump on board. The Polymarket promo code DIME can be used to sign up and enjoy the wild ride that is the NFL.
