bet365 Launches Online Sports Betting, iGaming in West Virginia

The Mountain State is opening its arms to a new sports betting and iGaming operator.

bet365 today announced its online sports betting and iGaming launch in West Virginia, its 18th state of operation, as it continues to expand across the U.S.

“West Virginia represents another important step in bet365’s continued expansion across North America,” Trip Stoddard, Head of Development at bet365, said in an official announcement of the launch. “As we grow our presence across the region, our focus remains on bringing customers the quality, depth and functionality that define the bet365 platform. With football season just around the corner, it’s an exciting time to introduce our sportsbook and casino offerings to customers across the state.”

Both iGaming and Online Sports Betting Now Available

The bet365 launch of its online sports betting and iGaming services in the Mountain State will be available for West Virginia residents 21-years or older. Users will have access to bet365’s online sportsbook in time for college football and the NFL season.

West Virginia legalized online sports betting in 2018 after the legislature passed SB 415 into law. The legalization of iGaming came nearly two years later in 2020, when the West Virginia legislature passed HB 2934.

West Virginians will have access to bet365’s sports betting features, such as its Early Payout Offer (EPO), as well as a broad selection of online casino games and features such as its free-to-play game, Daily Prize Matcher, and the newly launched Jackpot365.

EPO settles qualifying bets as winners when their team takes a 17-point lead, regardless of the final outcomes.

Now Live in 18 States

The company is officially now live in 18 states. Outside of Kentucky, which is 18 and older, bet365 only allows users who are 21 or older to access their gaming platforms.
