2024 Biggest Overs and Unders

The 2024 regular season produced some of the wildest swings in years, with 27 FBS teams finishing at least 2.5 games away from their preseason win totals.

Biggest Overs

  • Indiana (Win Total: 5.5) — The Hoosiers shocked the sport with an 11-1 regular season under first-year head coach Curt Cignetti, earning their first College Football Playoff bid.
  • Arizona State (Win Total: 4.5) — The Sun Devils won the Big 12 and made the playoff after being picked dead last in the conference preseason poll.
  • BYU (Win Total: 4.5) — Kalani Sitake’s Cougars started 9-0 and finished 10-2 in the regular season, narrowly missing the Big 12 title game on a tiebreaker.
  • Colorado (Win Total: 5.5) — Deion Sanders, Shedeur Sanders, and Travis Hunter delivered a 9-3 regular season. Hunter took home the Heisman Trophy.

Biggest Unders

  • Florida State (Win Total: 9.5) — One of the biggest collapses in college football history. The defending ACC champions limped to a 2-10 regular season just one year after going 13-0 and getting snubbed from the CFP.
  • Oklahoma State (Win Total: 8) — The Cowboys went winless in Big 12 play and finished 3-9, capped by a 52-0 loss at Colorado.
  • Utah (Win Total: 9.5) — The Utes opened as Big 12 co-favorites but finished 5-7 in their conference debut, missing a bowl game.
