  • Darren Rovell has been challenged to a race by Big Cat after posting a horrible time in an impromptu dash
  • The two sports insiders have a history of engaging in banter
  • Who would win in a potential race?

Anyone fancy a race? Well, we know a couple guys who might.

With the first-round of the NFL Draft finished, all eyes are still on the world of football. But this particular race won’t feature players who were picked by NFL franchises or are on teams heading to Super Bowl 54.

Given the NFL Draft’s inclusion of the standard 40-yard dash, sports business insider Darren Rovell of The Action Network took it upon himself to try out a dash – and now his pitiful time may see him up for a challenge with an industry rival.

Who Will Win in a Potential Race Between Big Cat and Darren Rovell?

Who Will Win in a Potential Race? Odds
Big Cat -400
Darren Rovell +250

Rovell’s dash attempt was 4.04 seconds. Not bad when you consider he’s not even a genuine NFL hopeful, but just a sports insider, right?

Well, actually, the funny part is that Rovell’s time was for a 20-yard dash, not the full 40 yards that players attempt while trying out for the NFL. Oops.

After this novelty of an attempt, Rovell can go back to his Twitter and continue commenting on sports rather than sticking his head on the field. Nailed it, buddy, but that ain’t gonna cut it!

His fail of an attempt has gone viral, though. One source even reported Rovell’s dash seemed like he had a “dookie in his undies.

And now, Rovell’s rival Big Cat (Dan Catz) of Barstool Sports is having a field day with Rovell, roasting him beyond belief. This is, of course, not a new back and forth.

Big Cat and Rovell’s (friendly?) banter seems to escalate here.

Now, Big Cat is taking a step further. Is it a joke or is it real? Who knows, but Big Cat stepped onto Randy Baumann and the DVE Morning Show to speak about the Draft, and the topic of Rovell came up.

In between talk of Redskins versus Giants (in terms of who would be most embarrassing),  Big Cat managed to get some digs on Rovell in.

When the host asks Big Cat if he could best Darren Rovell in a genuine race his answer is pretty strong: “Easy. I’ve never seen anybody run like that. He thinks he can beat me in a race… He’s a disgrace. I don’t even know if he’s doing it on purpose anymore. He’s so, so bad!”

Perhaps we may finally get a climax to this feud, or maybe the disses will continue for a few more seasons. Regardless, if it were to actually come to fruition, based on Rovell’s display, it’s pretty sure he couldn’t best anybody.

Pick: Big Cat (-400)
