Nobody knows how to put on a massive boxing event better than Turki Al-Sheikh, and his latest spectacle set in the heart of Times Square is certainly no exception. But Al-Sheikh is not simply stopping at the spectacle, he’s also bringing three incredible fights in an unprecedented boxing tripleheader.
To kick things off, Teofimo Lopez will defend his WBO and The Ring junior welterweight titles against Arnold Barboza Jr. That will be followed by the return of Devin Haney against Jose Ramirez in a welterweight contest, and Ryan Garcia will take on Rolly Romero in the final fight of the evening for the WBA welterweight title.
There’s plenty to unpack when it comes to this incredible Times Square tripleheader, so let’s break down all three matchups along with the latest odds and my top picks and predictions.

Garcia vs. Romero Odds
The Garcia vs. Romero odds at DraftKings Sportsbook have Ryan Garcia as a massive -1100 favorite, giving him an implied probability of 91.7%. That is a stark contrast to Romero, the second-biggest underdog on the card, at +650 and his implied probability of only 13.3%.

Odds as of May 1, 2025 at DraftKings Sportsbook. Be sure to check out our DraftKings promos page for more information.
Garcia vs. Romero Props
Romero is a very aggressive boxer, especially in the early goings of his fights. This should play right into Garcia’s favor, which is why I like an early knockdown in the first three rounds at +265. With two TKO losses in the last two years, I also think there’s a distinct possibility we don’t see Romero make it past the halfway mark of the fight with Garcia earning a stoppage somewhere between the fourth and six rounds at +230.
Garcia vs. Romero Tale of the Tape
Garcia vs. Romero Prediction
This is about as close to a layup as you can get for Garcia. After serving a year-long suspension, Romero is the perfect opponent for the 26-year-old to show out against. While the knockout threat from Romero is real, Garcia’s speed gives him a huge edge and we all know that his left hook is the real deal.
I’m anticipating Romero to come out with some wild swings before Garcia finds a quick opening to land a heavy shot to put him on the canvas early. From there, it’ll simply be a matter of time before Garcia can finish the job (which I think he will) sooner rather than later.
- Garcia vs. Romero Pick: Garcia to Win by KO / TKO / DQ (-400 at DraftKings)
- Best Bet: Romero To Be Knocked Down In Rounds 1-3 (+230 at DraftKings)
Haney vs. Ramirez Odds
The Haney vs. Ramirez odds at DraftKings Sportsbook have Devin Haney as the biggest favorite of the night at -1200 and an implied probability of 92.3%. Ramirez, on the other hand, clocks in at +700 and a 12.5% implied probability as the biggest underdog on the show.
Haney vs. Ramirez Props
While I feel like Haney will look great after a year-long absence, people are disrespecting the 2012 Olympic Ramirez just a little. By no means do I think he’ll win this fight, which is why I like Haney by decision or technical decision at -390—but something unexpected could go down.
That could manifest itself in the form of a knockdown that catches Haney off-guard at some point in the bout. Keep in mind that Haney was very susceptible to the left hook of Ryan Garcia in their fight last year, and Ramirez also has a slightly less famous left hook in his arsenal. For that reason, +1200 on Haney to be knocked down but still win is not an insane wager to me.
Haney vs. Ramirez Tale of the Tape
Haney vs. Ramirez Prediction
A fight that is designed to get Haney back into the ring with Ryan Garcia later this year, I actually think Ramirez poses more of a threat to Haney than Rolly Romero does to Garcia. Despite being past his glory years at 32, Ramirez is still a very savvy boxer with real power.
While there might be some ring rust for Haney resulting in some potential mistakes, I still think he outboxes Ramirez to a relatively clean decision victory that will set up him up nicely for a second date with his rival Garcia.
- Haney vs. Ramirez Pick: Devin Haney by Decision or Technical Decision (-390 at DraftKings)
- Best Bet: Devin Haney by Decision or Technical Decision (-390 at DraftKings)
Lopez vs. Barboza Jr. Odds
The Lopez vs. Barboza Jr. odds at DraftKings Sportsbook have this fight as the closest matchup with Teofimo Lopez as a -250 favorite with an implied probability of 71.4%. Barboza Jr.’s odds to win (+200) give him an implied probability of 33.3%.
Lopez vs. Barboza Jr. Props
There’s plenty of bad blood between these two fighters and this is more than likely going to be a spicy affair in Times Square. I think we’ll see an action-packed first half of the fight and +230 for either fighter to be knocked down in the first six rounds sounds like solid value.
Lopez vs. Barboza Jr. Tale of the Tape
Lopez vs. Barboza Jr. Prediction
This is by far the most closely contested matchup of the night on paper. Barboza Jr. is not a tune-up fight at 32-0 with impressive recent wins over the likes of Jack Catterall and Jose Ramirez. He will bring this fight to Lopez, who himself is coming off an uninspired performance against Steve Claggett.
Despite that, Lopez is still the more talented boxer and he has shown that he rises to the level of great opponents as he did against Vasiliy Lomachenko and Josh Taylor. This fight will be tighter than the others, but I expect “The Takeover” to get a big win in front of his New York faithful.
- Lopez vs. Barboza Jr. Pick: Teofimo Lopez by Decision or Technical Decision (-120 at DraftKings)
- Best Bet: Either Fighter to be Knocked Down in Rounds 1-6 (+230 at DraftKings)
