Uiagalelei led the way against NC State last week as he passed for 209 yards and a touchdown and ran for 73 yards and two scores. It was his third straight game with at least 50 yards on the ground.

Through five games, Uiagalelei is completing 65.4% of his 159 passes for 1,242 yards and 11 touchdowns. He has been intercepted just twice. Uiagalelei has 242 rushing yards.

Clemson spreads the ball around in the passing game as five different players have at least 141 receiving yards. Beaux Collins has a team-high 232 yards and four touchdowns on 14 catches.

Will Shipley is Clemson’s top rusher with 413 yards and seven scores on 66 carries.

Clemson standout defensive tackle Bryan Bresee will miss his second straight game because of a kidney infection. Bresee is making good progress, but coach Dabo Swinney said the Tigers wanted to err on the side of caution.

Boston College Betting Outlook

Boston College’s 34-point performance against Louisville was encouraging. The Eagles rank just 108^th of the 131 FBS teams in scoring offense (23.4) and 117^th in total offense (317.4).

Quarterback Phil Jurkovec threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns last week. However, he also lost two fumbles and was intercepted once. Boston College was also penalized 13 times for 80 yards.

Jurkovec has a season total of 1,147 passing yards. He has connected on 64% of his attempts with 10 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Zay Flowers is having a big season with 34 receptions for 481 yards and five touchdowns. He had scoring catches of 57 and 69 yards against Louisville while finishing with five receptions for 151 yards.

The ground game has been a problem for Boston College. Pat Garwo III is the Eagles’ leading rusher but has just 225 yards in 62 attempts.

However, freshman Alex Broome had a breakout game last week, scoring on a 40-yard run among his nine carries and 83 yards. He had just 35 yards total in his first three collegiate games.

Boston College has its share of injuries as tight end George Takacs, left guard Finn Dirstine and cornerback CJ Burton were all hurt against Louisville. They are considered questionable.

Clemson vs Boston College Prediction

Clemson has won 11 straight games in the series, though it struggled to a 19-13 victory last year at home. Uiagalelei had 207 yards passing, Koby Pace rushed for 167 yards and Joseph Naga finished with 111 yards receiving.

The Tigers also had their string of six ACC titles snapped last season but are back to being the elite team in the conference. They should roll over mistake-prone Boston College.
