Severe weather in the forecast pushed College GameDay inside this week. The show sets up in Coleman Coliseum on the Alabama campus instead of its usual outdoor stage.
The reason for the trip is Georgia at Alabama, two unbeaten SEC teams meeting at 7:30 PM ET on ABC in a rematch of last season’s conference title game. Bryce Young, the former Alabama quarterback and Heisman winner, is the guest picker.
Below you’ll find the College GameDay Week 6 picks tracker, Saturday’s featured games and my betting card.
College GameDay Week 6 Location, Time & Guest Picker
Fans cannot camp overnight for this one. The line forms at 5:15 AM CT, the north and east doors open at 5:30 AM CT, and Alabama is allowing clear bags only.
Rece Davis hosts alongside Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Nick Saban. Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer joins live on set, and Howard has a feature on Crimson Tide quarterback Keelon Russell.
Saban breaks down UCLA’s offense before the Bruins play at Oregon. Jen Lada reports on Yale quarterback Dante Reno, and McAfee’s kicking contest moves inside Coleman with the rest of the show.
College GameDay Picks Today: Week 6 Crew Predictions
The crew’s straight-up College GameDay picks are pending until the final segment. I’ll fill in the Georgia-Alabama call and the rest of the board live Saturday morning.
Week 6 College GameDay Superdog Picks
Superdogs are picks against the spread, which makes them a separate bet from the winners above. These selections are pending until the segment runs.
How the Week 5 GameDay Picks Finished
Nobody separated from the pack in Week 5. Saban was the only panelist above .500, and three of the five finished even.
Herbstreit made nine picks because he did not pick Miami-Clemson, and that abstention is excluded from the combined total. The majority pick went 6-4.
Superdogs finished 2-4 against the spread. Stanford Steve cashed Eastern Michigan +6 and McAfee covered with UConn +6.5, while the other four selections lost.
My own card went 1-2. Iowa and Florida both let me down, but the BYU-TCU under got there.
Week 6 College Football Schedule & TV Times
Red River and Georgia-Alabama headline a slate with ranked teams in almost every window. Here are Saturday’s featured games, and you can check the college football odds for each one.
My Week 6 College Football Best Bets
I have three sides this week, two favorites and a road underdog. The UCLA pick uses an alternate spread, so compare what is available across College Football betting apps before you click. See our BetMGM promo code page for the current new-user offer.
Indiana vs Nebraska Prediction: Hoosiers -7.5
- My Pick: Indiana -7.5 (-115 at BetMGM)
My Indiana vs Nebraska prediction is the Hoosiers -7.5, with a 47.5 total. An eight-point Indiana win would cash this bet.
Indiana is averaging 44.2 points and 490.6 yards and has allowed only seven sacks, which blunts Nebraska’s best weapon. The Huskers have 16 sacks and are 5-0, but they have not seen a ranked team yet and Indiana brings a 21-game winning streak into Lincoln.
Texas vs Oklahoma Pick: Longhorns -7.5
- My Pick: Texas -7.5 (-110 at BetMGM)
My Texas vs Oklahoma pick starts with the Longhorns’ defense. Texas has won the last two Red River meetings 34-3 and 23-6. Oklahoma is 2-2 and needs turnovers to flip the field, because this is not a roster built to trade scores with the Longhorns.
The total is only 39.5, which usually argues against laying a touchdown. I see it differently here. In a game with that few possessions, every empty Oklahoma drive hurts more, and Arch Manning gets to play from ahead.
UCLA vs Oregon Best Bet: Bruins +11.5
- My Pick: UCLA +11.5 (-132 at DraftKings, alternate spread)
My UCLA vs Oregon best bet buys a point from the main UCLA +10.5 spread, with the total at 57.5. Oregon is scoring 47.5 per game and Autzen is a rough place to visit, so I want the cushion.
UCLA leads the Big Ten at 281.5 rushing yards per game and comes in 4-0. A run-first team that can grind out long drives is exactly the profile that keeps a double-digit number in play at Oregon.
