Best Thursday College Football Player Prop Bets

CFB Prop Pick #1: TJ Engleman Jr. Over 74.5 Rushing Yards

  • TJ Engleman Jr. Over 74.5 rushing yards (-120 at theScore Bet)

The best Thursday college football prop on the board belongs to East Carolina’s tailback. TJ Engleman has gone for 99, 129 and 136 rushing yards over his last three games, a 365-yard stretch that cleared this number in each outing.

The efficiency behind it is what makes 74.5 look light. He has taken 40 carries over those three games for 9.1 yards a pop, and his full season reads 386 yards on 45 attempts at 8.58 per carry.

Read those two lines together and the picture is clear. Nearly all of Engleman’s production has come in this recent stretch, which means the workload is trending his way rather than tailing off.

UAB is the matchup to attack. The Blazers surrender 190.8 rushing yards per contest, and Engleman needs only 75 of them to cash at a number he has beaten by 24 yards or more in three straight.

CFB Prop Pick #2: Max Johnson 2+ Passing TDs

The Georgia Southern side of the prop board gives us a quarterback who has thrown exactly three touchdown passes in three consecutive games. Max Johnson has 1,572 passing yards and 11 touchdowns through six games while running the offense with real command.

That streak is what sells this market. Nine touchdown passes over three outings against a line asking for two gives him a wide cushion on recent form.

His most recent outing was the best of them, with 343 passing yards and three scores against James Madison. That is the kind of volume that produces multiple trips to the end zone through the air.

Old Dominion allows 27.5 points per game, so the opportunities should be there. If you want more on the platform pricing these markets, check out theScore Bet promo code for a bonus to use on tonight’s games.

CFB Prop Pick #3: Quinn Henicle Under 169.5 Passing Yards

  • Quinn Henicle Under 169.5 passing yards (-115 at theScore Bet)

The third of my Thursday college football player props asks you to fade a starting quarterback, which is never the comfortable side. Quinn Henicle’s recent work makes the case anyway.

He threw for 97 yards on 10 of 20 passing against Appalachian State most recently, after managing 49 yards on 8 of 15 against Georgia State a week earlier. Neither came within 70 yards of this number.

Put those two together and he has 146 passing yards on 35 attempts, an average of 4.17 yards per throw. Clearing 170 would require a substantial jump in volume or efficiency.

Georgia Southern holds opponents to 199.3 passing yards per game, so the matchup is not a free pass. Henicle would still need to roughly double his recent output to get there.
