Brazil’s obligation is to be at the Confederations Cup final, and they are just one game away from that happening as they take on Uruguay, this Wednesday at 3 PM ET at Mineirão Stadium for the semifinals of the tournament.

Brazil won all three matches in their group, but their last 4-2 win over Italy really spoke high about what Luiz Felipe Scolari is doing.

“This is different (than in 2002) because they are young, you have all that paraphernalia, it is harder to control. There are 500 agents, 500 people involved in commercials and marketing. Being with the Brazil team here in Brazil is terrible. We can’t go outside; the players are prisoners. They can’t go to the beach; they have no freedom at all. So it is harder to manage it”, said manager Scolari.

His team averaged three goals per game this tournament, but the problem is that they have allowed goals in two of their three presentations.

“Brazil is a great team, and they are playing at home, but the current Uruguayan squad “knows” what is facing tournament organizers teams and how to complicate them”, said coach Washington Tabarez referring to the victory against South Africa in World Cup 2010.

Brazil is the huge favorite in the moneyline listed -300 to win the game on Wednesday and Uruguay +675; the draw pays +375.

Brazil’s playmakers should be enough to beat a Uruguay team that knows how to play these types of games, but is not playing their best soccer at the moment.
