As for the other four contests on the slate, only the KIA Tigers are in position to complete a three-game sweep. They pounded KT Wiz on Wednesday, and draw another favorable matchup in the series finale.

Odds as of June 10th.

Everybody Beats the Wiz

The Tigers will square off against Min Soo Kim, who lasted just 3.1 innings in his first start of the season last week. He owns a 12.19 ERA and 2.81 WHIP in 10 appearances in 2020, and while those numbers seem high, his career totals aren’t much better.

Min Soo Kim Career KBO Stats

Year Appearances Record ERA WHIP
2020 10 0-2 12.19 2.81
2019 28 8-5 4.96 1.43
2018 2 0-0 9.00 2.00
2016 7 0-0 6.75 2.12
2015 15 0-1 5.79 1.84

He’s never posted an ERA below 4.96 and has just a 15.3% quality start rate. His WHIP has been at least 2.00 in three of five career seasons, and in his last three outings he has more walks than strikeouts.

KT Wiz has dropped six straight, posting a -23 run differential in the process, while KIA has shown flashes of brilliance. They’ve scored at least seven runs in five of 10 games, and hung 10 on KT Wiz in a shortened 5-inning affair on Wednesday.

Pick: KIA Tigers -1.5 (-110)

SK and LG Should be Low Scoring

The second game of the SK and LG series was rained out Wednesday, meaning they’ll play a double bill on Thursday. As of right now, only the first game has odds posted and runs could be tough to come by.

Three of the Wyverns’ past four contests have gone under the total, while the under is 4-0 in the Twins’ last four games.

SK will send Ricardo Pinto to the mound, who’s fresh off 6 innings of one run ball against Samsung. He’s allowed just five runs total in his last three outings, while LG has been held to four runs or less in five of seven.

The Twins will counter with Min Ho Lee, who’s allowed just two runs in 16 innings of work this year. He ranks second on the team in ERA (1.10) and WHIP (0.92) and is fresh off a seven strikeout performance in his last outing.

Pick: Under 9.5 (-110)

Fading Offense in the Marquee Matchup

The NC Dinos bats were cooled off Wednesday by the defending champs, and Thursday’s series finale should struggle to exceed the 11.5 total. Doosan will send Young Ha Lee to the hill, who’s looking to turn in his third consecutive quality start.

He held KIA to just one run over 6 innings last time out, and five of his seven starts this season have gone under the total.

The Dinos meanwhile, will give the ball to Mike Wright looking to avoid just their second series loss of the season. Wright is 4-1, with a 2.65 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. He threw 6 innings of shutout ball in his last outing, and held the Bears scoreless in his first start against them back on May 19th.

Pick: Under 11.5 (-120)
