On Friday we were treated to yet another sparkling performance from NC’s Chang Mo Koo and on Saturday we’ll get to watch another one of the KBO’s brightest stars on the mound.

Samsung’s Tae In Won has been virtually flawless all season and will look to tame the KIA Tigers as their series continues at 4:00 am EST.

Kia Tigers -135 -1.5 (+145) Under 9.0 (-110)

Odds as of June 19th.

Beware of the Young Lion

The 20-year-old is fresh off his third scoreless start of the season and has allowed just two earned runs in his last four outings. He’s moved up to fourth in ERA and ranks top-10 in WHIP, quality starts and victories.

On Saturday, he’ll be looking to shut down KIA for the second time this season, after holding them to two runs in a blowout victory in May.

The Tigers will counter with Ki Young Im, who’s been on a nice little run of his own. The right-hander is fresh off six scoreless innings versus SK, and has allowed just three runs in his last 17.1 innings. He did struggle against Samsung earlier this season, but has looked like a different pitcher ever since.

I really like the Lions in this spot, but my favorite play is the under. Offense should be tough to come by with these two red-hot arms on the mound.

Pick: Under 9.0 (-110)

Speaking of Unders

While we’re on the subject of low scoring affairs, our favorite under target SK played another one on Friday. The Wyverns suffered a 2-1 loss to the Kiwoom Heroes, producing a total under 10 for the 10th time in their last 13 outings.

Kiwoom meanwhile, stayed under its game total for the third straight contest, and will have to deal with surging SK starter Geon Wook Lee.

The 25-year-old shutout KIA over 5 innings in his last outing, and has allowed one run or less in three of four starts this season. 75% of Lee’s starts in 2020 have gone under, with the lone exception coming against the league’s number one offense NC.

Pick: Under 10.0 (-116)

Back to Picking on Hanwha

Speaking of the Dinos, they’ll take on the last place Hanwha Eagles again on Saturday, and for the first time in what feels like forever, Hanwha is a small enough underdog to bet against.

For the past few weeks, you had to lay at least -200 on the runline against the Eagles, but Saturday’s price is a respectable -165 for the Dinos.

After a pair of victories to close out last week, Hanwha has lost four straight and has a -14 run differential over that stretch.

They’ll send Warwick Saupold to the hill, who’s already been roughed up once by NC this season, and has allowed at least six runs in two of his last three outings.

The Dinos will counter with Jae Hak Lee, who was tossed from his last start for throwing at a Heroes player in the second inning. Prior to that however, he stymied the Eagles over 7 innings in an 8-2 NC victory.

Pick: NC Dinos -1.5 (-165)
