Angels vs Tigers Probable Pitchers

In the first game of the doubleheader, two-way sensation Shohei Ohtani (8-5, 3.71) will be the starting pitcher for the Angels and face fellow All-Star Michael Lorenzen (5-6, 3.49). Ohtani will be pitching on five days of rest and Lorenzen on six.

Ohtani was originally scheduled to pitch against the Blue Jays on Friday night in Toronto. However, the Angels opted against having him pitch following a doubleheader on a travel day.

This will be Lorenzen’s first career start versus the Angels. He has no decisions in four relief appearances against them and a 4.50 ERA.
