All odds as of May 25th at FanDuel and at DraftKings.

Prop #1:  Max Scherzer Over 8.5 Strikeouts

Scherzer’s strikeout prop is set at 8.5, a number he’s exceeded in five of nine starts this season. He’s come up short in back-to-back outings, but that’s only because he lasted just 5 innings. He still struck out 8 and 7 batters respectively in those games, and has a ridiculous 12.14 K/9 rate this season.

He’s still hitting mid 90’s with his fastball, and is generating a 16% swinging strike rate. The matchup against Cincinnati is not one to fear, as the Reds have lost six of seven, and have fanned at least 10 times in four of their past five outings.

Pick: Max Scherzer Over 8.5 Strikeouts (-110)

Prop #2: DJ LeMahieu 2+ Hits

Betting on multi-hit games for DJ LeMahieu has been very successful this season when the matchup is right. Tuesday brings another favorable opportunity, as LeMahieu is 6-for-10 lifetime versus Blue Jays starter Steven Matz. The Yankees second baseman has a pair of multi-hit outings already this season versus Toronto, and oddsmakers expect plenty of offense in this contest, as it boasts one of the highest totals of the slate.

Matz meanwhile, was shelled in his last start, allowing 10 hits and 5 runs to Boston, marking the fourth time in his past five outings he’s surrendered at least 7 hits.

Pick: DJ LeMahieu 2+ Hits (+189)
