If the rest of the World Series is anything like Game 1, baseball fans are in for a treat. Philadelphia rallied from an early 5-0 deficit, eventually tying it up before stealing a 6-5 victory in 10 innings.
Game 2 goes Saturday night in Houston, and while there are a ton of ways to bet the contest, don’t sleep on the value to be had in the player props market.
Our Phillies vs Astros player props card starts with a bet on J.T. Realmuto, who smacked the game-winning home run in the series opener.

Realmuto currently boasts -185 odds to record a hit on Saturday, which is a longer price than it should be given how he’s been swinging the bat.

World Series Prop #1: J.T. Realmuto 1+ Hits
Not only was Realmuto the hero in extra innings in Game 1, but he also delivered the game-tying hit in the 5th inning. Trailing by two with two men on, Realmuto laced a double to deep left center off Justin Verlander, driving in both runners to square the contest at 5.
Clutch hitting is nothing new to Realmuto, as he’s been excellent in the postseason so far. He’s recorded back-to-back multi-hit games, and has at least one hit in nine of 12 playoff outings.

He slashed .262/.350/.454 versus left-handed pitching this year, and after a slow start to the regular season, he posted an .860 OPS or higher in each of the final three months leading into the postseason.
Pick: J.T. Realmuto 1+ Hit (-185), 2 units
World Series Prop #2: Framber Valdez Over 5.5 Strikeouts
We couldn’t cash our Justin Verlander strikeout bet in Game 1, but that won’t discourage us from targeting the over on Framber Valdez’s strikeout prop on Saturday.

Valdez is fresh off a nine strikeout performance in the ALCS, and is averaging over eight K’s per outing over his last three starts. One of those matchups was against this same Phillies team, and Valdez was mowing down Phillies left, right and center.
The 28-year-old only pitched five innings, but still finished with 10 strikeouts. He finished 14th in all of MLB in K’s during the regular season, and he’s struck out at least seven hitters in nine of his past 10 starts at home.
Pick: Framber Valdez Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-118), 1 unit
World Series Prop #3: Alex Bregman 1+ Home Runs
Phillies starter Zack Wheeler doesn’t give up many homers, but we can’t ignore the value on Alex Bregman’s home run prop. Bregman, who hit 41 dingers a few seasons ago, is +520 to go deep in Game 2.
The Astros third baseman has hit the ball hard all postseason, recording a hit in all but one of Houston’s eight playoff games. He’s slugged two homers and has pounded five extra-base hits in total, ranking second on the team in slugging percentage and average, and in first in OPS.

Nineteen of Bregman’s 23 homers this season came off right-handed pitching, while 16 of those home runs were hit in Houston.
Pick: Alex Bregman 1+ Home Run (+520), 0.25 units
