Kluber is leading the AL in bases on balls per nine innings (1.1). As well, his bases on balls percentage (3.1) is among the top 1% of MLB pitchers. His strikeouts/walks ratio of 6.78 is second in the AL.

Kluber is 1-1 with a 1.08 ERA in four starts this season against the Yankees. He’s 6-3 with a 2.08 ERA in 12 career starts facing them.

Taillon is tied for fourth among AL pitchers in home runs allowed with 23. He shares ninth in the AL with 64 earned runs allowed. Like Kluber, he’s a control freak. Taillon’s 4.3 bases on balls percentage is among the top 4% of MLB hurlers.

He worked eight innings of two-hit, shutout ball to beat the Rays 2-0 on May 27 at Tampa. Taillon is 2-2 with a 2.30 ERA in five career starts against the Rays.
