  • Chicago is holding a 6-4 straight up edge over Cincinnati in 2022 head-to-head meetings
  • Below, see the Reds vs Cubs odds and moneyline picks

Amazingly, the Cincinnati Red (53-80, 24-41 away) have surpassed the Pittsburgh Pirates, and now have their sights set on the Chicago Cubs (57-78, 29-38 home).

Third place in the National Central is still up for grabs. Considering that Cincinnati came out of the gate on a 3-23 start, that would be an impressive outcome for the Reds.

Oddsmakers are convinced that Cincinnati is in for an uphill battle on Thursday, though. Entering the second game of the three-game set, it’s the hometown Cubs who are set as -145 favorites. The Reds are 23-38 straight up as an away underdog this season.
