Brieske will be making his first start of the season for the Tigers and sixth overall appearance. He pitched 1.1 scoreless innings on relief Tuesday against the Los Angeles Angels and allowed one hit with no walks and one strikeout.

This will be Brieske’s first career appearance against the Marlins. He has a 7.71 ERA in two games on the road this season and gave up one run in one inning in his lone appearance during the day.

Cueto will be making just his fourth appearance and third start of the season after being sidelined with right biceps tightness from April 4-July 15. He was outstanding in a no-decision against the Colorado Rockies last Saturday at home as he gave up only one run and two hits in six innings while striking out eight and walking one.
