Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg are bantering about a possible MMA fight. There are no specifics on where it would happen or what platform it would be broadcast on. The latter is a marginal favorite over the former after opening Musk vs Zuckerberg odds were released.
The showdown is stoking the fires of oddsmakers who have already crafted a line for this one. Let’s take a look at the opening Musk vs Zuckerberg odds as we analyze the seemingly upcoming fight.
Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg Odds
Fighter | Odds |
---|---|
Elon Musk | +140 |
Mark Zuckerberg | -160 |
Zuckerberg is a -160 favorite in the opening Musk vs Zuckerberg odds, meaning the Facebook billionaire has a 61.5% implied win probability.
This is a fight that fits within a tradition of rumored, niche, celebrity fights that I’ve covered for SBD in the past.

Odds from DraftKings Sportsbook on June 22nd. The Musk vs Zuck odds are currently for informational purposes only (ie not available to be wagered on).Â
Zuckerberg Favored in Opening Fight Odds
Mark Zuckerberg was initially challenged by Elon Musk as Musk responded to a Twitter user mentioning the Meta owner’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu efforts with Musk he’d be “up for a cage match if he is”.
Zuckerberg added fuel to the fire of this battle of tech billionaires by responding on his Instagram story. Invoking the words of former UFC champ Khabib Nurmagomedov, Zuckerberg said “send me location” with a screenshot of Musk’s challenge and here we are.

There are theories that Musk is irritated with Zuckerberg for planning to make a competitor app to Twitter.
I think the likelihood of a real fight is minimal, and that this sort of talk is just an expression of pettiness between potential warring entities on social media.
Musk an underdog vs Zuckerberg
Musk being an underdog in this one is not hard to understand. It doesn’t seem like the Twitter owner has any formal training in any martial arts whatsoever.
There is at least video evidence of the Facebook owner competing in martial arts and emerging victorious no less. Opening odds for Zuckerberg’s first MMA opponent were initially released all the way back in September 2022.

The news of Andrew Tate offering to help train Musk does little to impart confidence in the idea the Tesla figurehead could become a proficient fighter in a prompt fashion.
I think the oddsmakers are fair in positioning the line as they have considering this context. I would even go as far as to have Zuckerberg as a heavier favorite so there could even be strong value here if this ever happened.
Expected Musk vs Zuckerberg Odds Movement
In terms of how the odds will move closer to the fight, I feel like it would become more evident that Zuckerberg would be the likeliest fighter to win.
This is a fight that UFC figurehead Dana White seems confident can transpire and be a huge box office attraction.

Ultimately if this fight somehow were to go down, my prediction would be that Zuckerberg would win.
Whether that’s via submission or decision, he’s simply the younger man, is in better shape, and at least has a fraction of real training despite obviously being a novice.
