  • Eight NBA games are on the schedule for Monday night
  • Minnesota matching up with Cleveland and Chicago taking on Miami are the standout matchups
  • Read below for Monday night’s latest NBA player props and best bets

Starting off with a couple of games at 7:10pm ET in Cleveland and Orlando, Monday’s NBA schedule has eight games. Still without Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and Ben Simmons, the Brooklyn Nets are three-point underdogs at home to the Toronto Raptors in a 7:40pm ET tip-off.

The Bulls and Heat get underway at the same time in Florida, with Miami favored by four. The slumping Charlotte Hornets are massive outsiders as they take on the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks, and the same goes for the San Antonio Spurs against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Domantas Sabonis faces his former team with the Kings on the road against the Thunder. Sacramento is looking to end a four-game losing streak.

Odds as of Feb 28th at FanDuel Sportsbook

Unsurprisingly, DeMar DeRozan has one of the highest points lines of the night at 30.5. DeRozan might be an outsider in NBA MVP odds, but he’s putting up historic scoring numbers of late.

Jarrett Allen Scores and Rebounds

Darius Garland is out again for the Cavaliers. Garland is the center of the Cleveland offense, and his absence leaves a void to be filled. Lauri Markkanen came up big against the Wizards, and the frontcourt duo of Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley have to contribute even more on the offensive end.

YouTube video

Even without his pick-and-roll partner in Garland, Allen was effective against Washington, scoring 18 points on just eight shots. He connected with Brandon Goodwin, Isaac Okoro and Cedi Osman, and grabbed 14 boards in the game.

That contest was the only time in the last five that Allen has passed this points and rebounds line. Before that run, though, he hit this over in four consecutive games. That streak was again a period which saw Garland sidelined through injury – Allen and Garland have superb chemistry, but we often see the former Net’s numbers increase when Garland is out.

YouTube video

Allen faces a Minnesota team which ranks in the bottom ten in share of opponent shots at the rim. They also sit in the bottom seven in opponent boards per game. This is a night for Allen to put up some huge numbers.

  • Pick: Jarrett Allen over 27.5 points and rebounds (-113)

Hornets Can’t Stop Giannis

Giannis Antetokounmpo has scored 40+ twice against the Hornets this season. He’s also averaging over 32 per game across his last nine, scoring 32 or more in three of his last five, including a 44-point outing against Indiana and a 50 piece against the Lakers.

YouTube video

Despite having the highest points line of the night, this number looks low. The Hornets are a bad defensive team despite an improvement in their offensive rating of late, and they have no one even close to capable of slowing down the two-time MVP.

Teams get to the rim at will against the Hornets – only five teams give up more attempts in the restricted area. Fouling has been a problem against Giannis, too, as he’s clocked 41 attempts from the stripe in three games against Charlotte so far in 2021-22.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Greek Freak drop 40 again – take the over.

  • Pick: Giannis Antetokounmpo over 31.5 points (-106)
