It’s a light slate across the NBA on Saturday, December 22nd, with just three contests on the schedule. The Sacramento Kings will visit the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks who will be playing the tail-end of a back-to-back after beating the Chicago Bulls on Friday.

Elsewhere, the Indiana Pacers face the Phoenix Suns in the desert after an upset win over the Golden State Warriors in overtime on Thursday. Lastly, the Oklahoma City Thunder hit the road to take on an exciting Cleveland Cavaliers team.

Garland Keeps Dishing Dimes

Darius Garland is solidifying himself as a surefire All-Star next month in Cleveland. The Cavs guard has stepped up heavily in the wake of injuries to Collin Sexton and Ricky Rubio, but he’s doing a lot more than just scoring the rock. Garland is easily the team’s best facilitator, getting his teammates good looks on a nightly basis.

While he is averaging eight assists per night this season, the former Vanderbilt standout is dishing dimes at a ridiculous level right now. He has comfortably hit the over in assists in five of his last six games, most recently grabbing 12 of them in back-to-back appearances against the Bulls and Nets, two very good teams.

Before that, Garland dished out a whopping 18 assists against the same opponent as Saturday, the lowly OKC Thunder. The 21-year-old is going to pick apart their defense again and provide the likes of Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen with some easy buckets.

  • Pick: Darius Garland Over 9.5 Assists (+130)

No One Can Stop Booker

I took Devin Booker on the over in points the other night against the Mavs and sure enough, he hit it. That being said, it’s a must to ride his hot streak again here. The Suns’ star is absolutely cooking lately, leading Phoenix on their current five-game win streak. Book erupted for 48 on Monday against the Spurs then dropped 28 on Thursday in a comeback win over Luka Doncic and Dallas.

Across his previous four contests, Booker is averaging 35.2 points. Whether it’s a mid-range jumper or a corner triple, the 25-year-old is in his bag at the moment. Also, he scored 35 last Friday against the Pacers, who he will face again on Saturday. Their defense is by no means great either and Book gets to play at home here. It’s a no-brainer to take the over and believe in his hot hand.

  • Pick: Devin Booker Over 26.5 Points (-106)
