Odds as of January 19th at FanDuel

Randle’s Struggles Continue

After coming out on top in the Most Improved Player of the Year odds last season, Knicks forward Julius Randle has taken a significant step back in his production in 2021-22. He’s averaging a whole five points less per game (19.1) and his three-point shooting has drastically become worse, draining just 31% of his attempts from downtown as opposed to a 41% clip in 2020-21.

Usually, you’d want to take the over on a player. But in Randle’s case, he’s shown absolutely zero consistency on a nightly basis for New York and is definitely playing a part in their struggles. The 27-year-old has hit the over in points in just two of his last six games and although he dropped 21 on Tuesday night in a loss to the Timberwolves, he collected just 10 points the last time he faced the Pelicans in October.

While New Orleans is by no means solid defensively, banking on Randle to have another 20+ game is risky. If you’re online sports betting in New York, cash in on the under.

  • Pick: Julius Randle Under 19.5 Points (-108)

Booker Shows Out Again

Suns star Devin Booker has been on an absolute tear lately, basically serving as the main catalyst behind Phoenix’s current four-game winning streak. He’s averaging 37.6 points in his last three games and just erupted for 48 on Monday night against the San Antonio Spurs. That being said, Book has hit the over in points in all of these contests where he’s put up at least 30 points.

However, Booker only scored 19 and 24, respectively, in the first two meetings with the Mavs this season. Even though Dallas has improved a lot defensively over the last couple of weeks, the Suns guard is showing no fear right now, no matter the opponent.

After almost putting up a 50-piece, you’d have to believe Booker will be oozing with confidence ahead of this matchup. It’s worth the bet here given just how fantastic he’s playing at the moment.
