With the top seed in the West’s NBA Playoff Bracket sealed for the Denver Nuggets (52-27, 19-20 away), a matchup of top-4 clubs might merely be window dressing when they visit the surging Phoenix Suns (44-35, 27-12 home).
Memphis’ loss to NOLA clinched it for Denver, who most likely will rest stars Nikola Jokic (calf) and Jamal Murray (thumb). who are listed as questionable.
They’ll be facing a Phoenix side that’s ripped off six in a row, and has yet to lose in seven games with Kevin Durant in the lineup.

Denver Betting Analysis
Of all games Denver could have clinched the top seed, a date with the last-place team in the conference would be it. Instead, the Nuggets were demolished by the Houston Rockets 124-103 last game.
The Nuggets faded badly in this one, getting outscored 38-18 in the fourth quarter, while committing 20 turnovers.

Nikola Jokic, still in the thick of the 2023 NBA MVP odds, had eight turnovers on his own, with 14 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in 25 minutes. Michael Porter Jr was the only Nugget to crack 20+ points, finishing with 23 and seven rebounds. Aaron Gordon had 13 points, nine boards and four dimes.
Denver has lost three of their last four, and their offense has dried up, scoring 110 points or less in all four games, including two sub-100 games. One of those was a 100-93 decision to these same Suns in Phoenix.
Jokic did miss that contest, and with no offensive hub, the Nuggets shot 40% from the field and just 6-for-26 from distance, a 23.1% clip.
Phoenix Betting Analysis
The Suns are gelling on the fly, and it’s scary. They are only third in the 2023 NBA Championship odds, almost strictly because of that lack of continuity.
They crushed the San Antonio Spurs last time out in a 115-94 win. Denver’s core four had their fingerprints all over this one. Devin Booker led the way with 27 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals, while Chris Paul dropped 22 on 9-for-14 shooting.
Durant had 18 points, five rebounds and two dimes, while Deandre Ayton chipped in with a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double.

Defense has been the driver during Phoenix’s fun-run: just two teams have cracked 100 points in the last six, part of a stingy 102.2 points per game scoring D.
It’s a small sample, but that’s five points better than the top scoring defense in the NBA. Teams are shooting only 41.9% from the field and 32% from distance.
KD has already shown the full arsenal to the Nuggets in their March 31 win, shooting 11-for-15 from the field for 30 points and four rebounds.

This will be the fourth and final meeting between these teams this season, with Phoenix hoping to even the series with a win.
