Against Mount St. Mary’s, Nelson had 18 points in a near-perfect shooting game. He was 7 of 8 from the field and 4 for 4 at the foul line.

The Midshipmen are a good shooting team. They are making 41.1% of their three-point tries for the 10th-best mark in the nation.

Senior forward Daniel Deaver is contributing in various areas with averages of 11.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 blocked shots. He is fourth in the Patriot League in assists and blocks.

Deaver stuffed the stat Saturday during a 7-of-11 shooting performance. He finished with 14 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals.

Sophomore guard Kam Summers had a season-high 14 points and five rebounds. He made 6 of 8 field goal attempts as Navy shot 51.6% (32 for 62) while holding Mount St. Mary’s to 2 of 10 (20%) from three-point range.

Midshipmen senior guard Sean Yoder is scoring 9.3 points and pulling down 5.3 rebounds a game.

Navy is 5-1 against the spread and been the winning side in each of its last three games.

Lipscomb Betting Outlook

Sophomore forward Jacob Ognacevic is off to a fine start after being limited last season because of acid reflux. The condition caused him to lose 15 pounds, which he gained back in the offseason.

Ognacevic’s 18.5 scoring average is second-best in the Atlantic Sun Conference. He is also second in field goal percentage with a 63.6 mark.

As a team, Lipscomb is 10th in the nation in shooting at 51.6%.

In the win over Chattanooga, Ognacevic scored 21 points.

Sophomore guard Will Pruitt is a well-rounded player. He is averaging 12.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.2 steals a game.

Pruitt contributed 13 points, eight rebounds and three assists last Wednesday. He is third in the A-Sun in steals.

Sophomore guard Derrin Boyd and senior forward Matt Schner each have 10.0 scoring averages. Schner is also averaging 6.7 rebounds. Senior center Ahsan Asadulluh’s 1.3 blocked shots a game stands third in the conference.

Sophomore guard AJ McGinnis added 14 points against Chattanooga.

Though the Bisons were outrebounded 42-30, they held the Mocs to 37.1% (23 of 62) shooting.

Like Navy, Lipscomb has won its last three against the spread. The Bisons are 3-1 overall ATS.
