Massachusetts Lowell will try to bounce from its most lopsided loss of the season when it hosts Vermont in an America East Conference game at 6 p.m. ET Wednesday at the Costello Athletic Center.

UMass Lowell (14-3, 8-0 home, 2-1 America East) had its three-game winning streak end Sunday, losing to Albany 89-63. The same day, Vermont (8-9, 4-5 road, 2-1 America East) fell to New Hampshire 67-60 for just its second loss in its last eight games.

Vermont Betting Trends

Vermont played well defensively in the loss to New Hampshire but was hurt by poor outside shooting. The Catamounts made just 5 of 19 (26.3) three-point field goal attempts.

Vermont held New Hampshire to 39% (23 of 59) shooting and 9 of 25 (36%) from long distance.

Senior guard Robin Duncan had a fine all-round game for Vermont with 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Senior guard Finn Sullivan added 14 points and senior guard Aaron Deloney finished with 13 points, though he was just 1 of 6 on three-pointers.

Vermont had just eight turnovers but also forced New Hampshire into eight giveaways.

Deloney is Vermont’s leading scorer with an average of 12.3 points a game. He won the America East’s Sixth Man of the Year Award last season.

UMass Lowell is 12th in the nation in field goal shooting (49.7%) and 42nd in three-point percentage (37.9). The River Hawks are also 10th in opponents’ field goal percentage (37.6).

Senior forward Abdoul Karim Coulibaly is having a big year following his transfer from St. Bonaventure. He is averaging 12.4 points and 8.3 rebounds a game.

Coulibaly leads the conference with a 61.2 field goal percentage and is third in rebounding.

Senior guard Everette Hammond has averages of 12.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists. Senior guard Ayinde Hakim has a 10.2 scoring average and his 4.1 assists a game are second in the America East. Junior forward Max Brooks’ 2.1 blocked shots a game lead the conference.

Sophomore forward Cam Morris III led UMass Lowell on Sunday with 14 points on 7-of-7 shooting.

Junior guard Yuri Covington also scored 14 points. However, he was 1 of 6 on three-point attempts.

UMass Lowell shot just 20% (3 of 15) beyond the arc while New Hampshire shot a sizzling 65% (13 of 20) on deep balls. The River Hawks were outrebounded 37-25.
