The 2022 college football season is officially underway, and Week 2 features an intriguing slate of games on Saturday, September 10th. Among the marquee matchups are Alabama vs Texas, Pittsburgh vs Tennesse and Baylor vs BYU.

College Football Week 2 Parlay Picks

The SEC went 13-1 in college football Week 1, and we like that momentum to continue in Week 2. In our college football parlay for Saturday, you’ll find two SEC teams taking on non-conference opponents, plus an all-SEC showdown that features a team with a clear edge.

Tennessee vs Pittsburgh

Tennesse will look to build off their impressive Week 1 victory over Ball State when they travel to Pittsburgh in Week 2. The Panthers got the victory over West Virginia in their season opener, but the Mountainers actually outgained the Panthers in total yardage and were one catch away from winning.

Hendon Hooker and this Vols’ offense is electric, having scored at least 45 points in four straight games. The Vols put up almost 400 yards of offense on a much better version of Pitt’s defense last season, and that was without Hooker playing most of the game. Arkansas vs South Carolina

Sam Pittman’s Arkansas will look to prove they are worthy of moving up to No.16 in the AP Poll when they travel to South Carolina in Week 2. Both teams are coming off Week 1 victories, but Arkansas is more battle-tested after facing a quality opponent in Cincinnati.

South Carolina got gashed on the ground in Week 1, giving up 200 rushing yards to Georgia State. The Razorbacks were the SEC’s top rushing team in 2021 and rushed for 224 yards vs Cincinnati. Led by dual-threat QB KJ Jefferson, Arkansas’ ground attack will be the difference in Week 2 vs USC.

Mississippi State vs Arizona

Mississippi State vs Arizona is the final leg of our college football parlay, and is a case of following the money. The Bulldogs opened as only touchdown favorites, but the line has ballooned up to make MS State 11-point favorites. The sharps are all over Mike Leach’s team vs the Wildcats.

Arizona looked good in a Week 1 victory over San Diego State, but this Mississippi State air-raid offense is a different animal. Nine different players on the Bulldogs caught passes in their Week 1 victory over Memphis, and QB Will Rodgers will torch this vulnerable Pac-12 defense during one of the final games of Saturday night.

In our Week 2 college football teaser, we’re taking a look at two of our closest projected games for Saturday’s slate and teasing the underdog by six points. Both these games come on later Saturday, meaning you won’t have to wait too long to find out whether or not you cashed.

Boston College vs Virginia Tech

Boston College and Virginia Tech are both coming off deflating upset losses heading into this Week 2 matchup. The Eagles lost 22-21 to Rutgers, while the Hokies fell 20-17 to North Dominion. This evenly matched contest could come down to the wire with both teams wanting to show that Week 1 was a fluke.

BC quarterback Phil Jurkovec is an experienced senior who gives the Eagles an edge at the most important position. VA Tech’s junior QB Grant Wells, meanwhile, threw four interceptions in Week 1 and has struggled with his accuracy. The Eagles have covered the spread in eight of the past 11 games in this rivalry.

Pick: Boston College +8.5 Alternate Spread 

Baylor vs BYU

Baylor and BYU rematch in Week 2 this season after the Bears beat the Cougars by 14 points in the 2021 meeting. While the spread favors BYU to revenge at home, ESPN’s College Football Power Index actually gives Baylor a 57.6 percent chance to defeat the Cougars.

Much like the first game in our teaser, this should be a hard-fought battle that comes down to the wire. Baylor features a dominant defensive line that will hold up against BYU’s strong offensive front. The Cougars’ defense allowed almost 400 yards per game last season, and those weaknesses were evident in a 50-21 win over South Florida in Week 1.
