  • Week 9 offers up very few big favorites in the NFL odds for Week 9 parlay picks
  • But there are several short spreads where you can shift the line either way to create some underdog value for teaser picks or alternate spreads
  • Read on to see our breakdown of this week’s best parlays and teasers to target this weekend

Week 9 in the NFL looks like a pretty good teaser weeks. With a lot of games between evenly matched teams, you should be able to turn almost any team into an underdog or add some points creating even bigger underdogs in your bets. We’re doing just that, plus creating one small parlay for this week’s edition of the best NFL parlays and teasers for the weekend.

Looking up and down this card I see backup quarterbacks, thirdstring quarterbacks, serious injuries and a whole lotta games lined at three points or fewer this weekend (9/13). The Titans and Steelers were the same on TNF, meaning we have a ton of games that are essentially expected to be near coinflips.

Let’s dive into this week’s NFL parlays and teasers and breakdwon our six selections.

NFL Parlay Picks Today

Matchup Pick (Odds)
Bears vs Saints Saints (-375)
Cardinals vs Browns Browns (-360)
TOTAL ODDS -164

Our two-team NFL parlay with the Saints and Browns comes in at -164 odds. Odds at DraftKings Sportsbook.

NFL Week 9 Parlay Picks

There’s no need to worry about NFL spreads when making parlay predictions as all we’re asking for is straight up wins. But man, it’s really hard to find many candidates we feel confident about including in this section this week. Rather than push anything, we need a win after several big favs have blown up our parlays in past weeks. The most obvious Week 9 parlay picks this week look to be the Saints and Browns at home to the Bears and Cardinals. Let’s hope we can chip away a small profit there and live to fight another day/week.

Bears vs Saints

  • Pick: Saints

Tyson Bagent got a win in his first start over another backup quarterback of the Raiders, but couldn’t follow it up on SNF in Los Angeles, losing to the Chargers 30-13. Bagent did throw for over 200 yards (232) but had zero touchdowns and two interceptions. Many of his 25 completions were short, as TE Cole Kmet had ten catches for only 79 yards, and neither team ran the ball with the Bears only totalling 79 rushing yards and the Chargers 54.

But LA didn’t need to run, with Justin Herbert throwing for 298 yards and three touchdowns.

The Saints had been a dead-nuts under team and had only allowed one opponent to score over 20 points in their past 14 games. Their offense, with Derek Carr was also sputtering averaging just 18.2 PPG threw the first six games.

But Saints’ game have seen all kinds of scoring recently with them losing 31-24 at home to Jacksonville and winning 38-27 in Indy last week. If their offense keeps rolling against a Bears defense that ranks 23rd in YPG allowed and 28th in PPG allowed they should have too much for the Bears. The Saints defense has nine interceptions (4th) on the year and could cause the rookie Bagent problems all day.

Cardinals vs Browns

  • Pick: Browns

The Cardinals have been fiesty and PJ Walker has not looked great, but now we get Clayton Tune, a 2023 fifth round pick going into the Cleveland to face the league’s top defense.

Tune’s only NFL action thus far was throwing one pass for four yards against the Seahawks. Tune will have limited offensive weapons to work with as both RB James Connor and TE Zach Ertz are both on IR.

PJ Walker may be 2-1 as a starter with the Browns this year, but he’s only thrown 1 TD compared to 5 INTs. So he certainly could mess up these NFL parlay picks for me.

But I’m counting on the Browns’ defense that ranks 12th in PPG allowed, first in yards per game allowed, first in passing defense and seventh in rushing defense, shutting down Tune and a Cardinals team that is 1-7 and riding a five-game losing streak.

NFL Teaser Picks Today

Matchup Pick (Teaser Odds)
Buccaneers vs Texans Bucs +10.5 (-473)
Colts vs Panthers Colts +7.5 (-516)
Bills vs Bengals Bengals +7.5 (-539)
Chargers vs Jets Chargers +7.5 (-800)
TOTAL ODDS -109

This week’s four-team teaser picks sees us taking three teams that are all short favorites and flipping them all the way to touchdown underdogs. Those teams are the Colts, Bengals and Chargers. We’ve also bet up the Bucs to double-digit dogs instead of +3.

NFL Week 9 Teaser Picks

When it comes to Week 9 teaser picks, I feel we have way more options so let’s go bigger here and lump four teams into our picks.

Buccaneers vs Texans

  • Pick: Buccaneers +10.5

The NFL lines in this game make the Texans 3-point home favorites. Truthfully, that number alone still looks appealing to bet on the Bucs in any of your NFL upset picks. Have the Texans really done anything to warrant being 3-point favorites? Both teams are 3-4 SU as well as both being 4-3 ATS here and Houston just lost to the previously winless Carolina Panthers last week.

The Bucs are also coming off of a loss, but on TNF and to the Buffalo Bills in a game in which they hung around only losing 24-18. It’s still a loss, but only by six points. And it was on the road, a place where two of the Bucs three wins have come.

When the Bucs have scored 20+ points they are 3-0. When the Texans have allowed 20+ points they’re 0-3.

Both teams play to the Under with Tampa being 1-6 and Houston 2-5.

This may in fact come down to a field goal but I see little between these teams and neither pulling away. As such, adding some points to the Bucs and making them +10.5 in our Week 9 teaser picks looks the prudent play.

Colts vs Panthers

  • Pick: Colts +7.5

The Panthers and first overall pick Bryce Young got their first wins last week. Still, it took a game-ending 23-yard field goal from Eddy Pineiro to pull ahead and take the 15-13 win over fellow rookie QB CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans.

Carolina is now 1-6 SU and ATS and average 18.1 PPG which ranks 25th. That may be enough to cover as short underdogs or win outright. Afterall, the Colts are giving up a league-high 28.6 PPG. So this could be a big day for Young, Adam Thielen, Chubba Hubbard and others in Week 9 player props.

But the Panthers defense is also getting ripped apart averaging 28.4 PPG against and the Colts offense under backup QB Gardner Minshew is firing right now scoring 27 and 38 points in the previous two games despite taking losses in both games. Indianapolis is the only team to score 20+ points in every game this season.

Frank Reich may be motivated to get the win over his old team and he just may do it. But the Panthers won’t pull away and beat the Colts by more than a touchdown in our NFL teaser picks.

Bills vs Bengals

  • Pick: Bengals +7.5

Cincinnati have now won three straight with Joe Burrow slowly rounding into form after a preseason calf injury. They’re also on a 3-0 ATS run.

The Bengals have been money in this spot since 2022. As home favorites they are 8-2 ATS. That extends back to 2021 as well where they are 12-4.

The Bills may be 5-3 on the year but they’ve just 2-2 SU and 0-4 ATS in their past four. They’ve also sufferd serious injuries across all defensive position groups.

Historically these teams have split the last four meetings, but Cincy is 5-2 in the last seven. The Bengals won the last meeting in the postseason last year 27-10 in Buffalo. In those past seven meetings, albeit dating way back to 2011 in that short sample size, the Bills two wins, in 2016 and 2019, came by four points on both occasions.

Jor Burrow is 4-0 in night games at home and Cincy could win outright. But if they don’t I’m betting it won’t be by more than a touchdown.

Chargers vs Jets

  • Pick: Chargers +7.5

Neither of these teams are easy to trust. Both are coming off wins. But for the Chargers, it was over a rookie QB and a terrible Bears’ defense while playing at home on SNF. For the Jets, it was an ugly, ugly 13-10 overtime win over the Giants, despite the G-Men playing with a third-string quarterback and totaling an impossible-to-imagine minus-9 passing yards.

The Chargers and Justin Herbert have been inconsistent, but they certainly won’t finish with negative passing yards. But the Jets defense is certainly capable of slowing them down ranking fifth in passing yards allowed. But then the Jets offense is not capable of pulling away from anyone. The Jets have one win by more than six points in their past 14 games.
