  • Will the Saints clean up against the Bears? Will Adam Thielen keep cashing receiving props?

It’s a wild week when the thing I seem most confident in is Saints’ players making me some money in the Week 9 NFL player props. But such is life in the NFL when we have backup quarterbacks starting everywhere you look this weekend. Derek Carr hasn’t been great for most of this season, but he has been in recent weeks and against a porous Bears defense I’m hoping that continues for another weekend. I’ll also ride with some more players who will be receiving passes from starting quarterbacks in primetime games in Germany and SNF for my player prop picks this week.

Week 9 NFL Player Props

Prop Odds Risk
Derek Carr over 1.5 passing touchdowns -115 1 unit
Alvin Kamara over 93.5 rushing & receiving yards -115 1 unit
Rashid Shaheed over 28.5 receiving yards -115 1 unit
Rashee Rice over 45.5 receiving yards -115 1 unit
Dalton Kincaid over 3.5 receptions -150 1 unit
Adam Thielen over 65.5 receiving yards -114 1 unit
Travis Kelce anytime touchdown -120 1 unit

This week’s top player prop picks are Saints’ heavy against a poor Bears’ defense as we’re targeting Derek Carr, Rashid Shaheed and Alvin Kamara. Elsewhere we have player props on Sunday morning’s game in Germany as well as a receptions prop on Dalton Kincaid for SNF and more.

When it comes to how to bet on NFL player props, there are endless options and you can bet on almost any position group of players. Read on for our top NFL Week 9 player props for Sunday.

Week 9 Passing Props – Derek Carr Passing Touchdowns

After a pedestrain start to the season Carr and the Saints’ offense has suddenly come to life in recent weeks. Carr has thrown for 300+ yards in three straight games and the Saints have 24 and 38 points in their past two games, both wins.

Last week against the Colts Carr was 19/27 for 310 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Last week the Bears let Justin Herbert throw for 298 yards and 3 TDs. They’ve also seen Sam Howell throw for 388 (2 TDs), Russell Wilson 223 (3 TDs), Patrick Mahomes 272 (3 TDs), Baker Mayfield 317 yards (1 TD) and Jordan Love 245 yards (3 TDs) among other quartbacks who have found success against a Bears defense ranked 30th against the pass.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Derek Carr over 1.5 passing touchdowns (-115); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 9 Rushing Props – Alvin Kamara Rushing & Receiving Yards

Since Alvin Kamara’s return from suspension he’s been the most targeted running back in the passing game, with 44 targets. He’s turned those into 39 catches for 228 yards. This, despite Kamara only playing in five games.

But even among wide receivers, if you look at only Weeks 4-8 since he returned, Kamara’s 44 targets would rank 12th among WRs too. Carr has been looking to Kamara just as much as WR Chris Olave who has 45 targets in that same time and more than Michael Thomas who has 35 targets.

Whether it’s pass catching or rushing, Kamara has been racking up the stats with combined rushing and receiving totals of 84, 97, 104, 153 and 101 yards.

His rushng totals alone have been 59, 62, 68, 80 and 51.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Alvin Kamara over 93.5 rushing and receiving yards (-115); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 9 Receiving Props – Rashid Shaheed Receiving Yards

Last week Rashid Shaheed finished with 153 yards and one touchdown on just three catches. That’s a wild 51 yards per catch.

Now he faces a Bears pass defense that ranks 30th in passing yards allowed and 26th in yards allowed per pass attempt.

He may cover his receiving yardage prop of 28.5 yards with one catch this week.

Shaheed has exceded 28 yards receiving in 5/8 games and two of those three where he didn’t he fell right on 28.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Rashid Shaheed over 28.5 receiving yards (-115); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 9 Receiving Props – Rashee Rice Receiving Yards

The Chiefs’ offense hasn’t been anything special this season. And when it does click, it’s mostly Kelce, Kelce and more Kelce. After Travis Kelce’s 54 receptions, 583 yards and four touchdowns, only one other Chiefs’ receiver has at least 30+ catches, 300+ yards or multiple touchdowns.

Rashee Rice checks all of those boxes with 30 catches, 361 yards and three scores.

His receiving prop this week is set at 45.5 yards. He’s gone over that total in each of his last three games with 56, 60 and 72 yards.

Against a Miami pass defense that ranks mid-pack at 16th in pass defense, and with few other Chiefs receivers doing much this season, Rice should exceed this number in our NFL props picks.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Rashee Rice over 45.5 receiving yards (-115); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 9 Receiving Props – Dalton Kincaid Receptions

Despite the 31-17 loss to the Bengals last week, 49ers TE George Kittle still put up monster numbers. Kittle led all 49ers receivers with nine catches for 149 yards.

In fact, the Bengals won despite allowing two 49ers receivers to go over 100 yards as Brandon Aiyuk also had 109 yards.

But let’s focus on the tight end position where the Bengals have given up 41 catches, 450 yards and four touchdowns to the position. That is the tenth-most catches, sixth-most yards and tied for the second-most touchdowns.

Playing without the injured Dawson Knox in the lineup, Dalton Kincaid stepped up last week going 5/7 for 65 yards and a touchdown against the Bucs. The week prior, the game in which Knox went out injured, Kincaid was 8/8 and 75 yards.

The rookie TE should again see plenty of looks from Josh Allen and faces a good matchup against this Bengals defense to see him go over either his receptions prop of 3.5 or receiving yardage prop of 37.5 in his Week 9 NFL player props. Let’s target his receptions for our prop picks.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Dalton Kincaid over 3.5 receptions (-150); risk 1 unit at DraftKings

Week 9 Receiving Props – Adam Thielen Receiving Yards

Rookie QB Bryce Young has found an immediate connection with veteran WR Adam Thielen. Thielen has seen 70 targets for 57 catches and 581 yards. The next highest among those stats in just 34 targets, 19 catches and 220 yards among other Panthers’ receivers.

Thielen is 11th in targets, 6th in receptions and 12th in yards across the NFL.

FanDuel still has his yardage prop in the 60s, while some other books have raised it to 70.

Thielen has made seven or more catches in each of his past six games and has finished with 72 or more yards in each of his last five. His average receiving yards total over those five games is 103 yards.

Against a Colts defense that is getting shredded and ranks 25th in passing yards and 26th in yards allowed per pass, Thielen should have another big day.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Adam Thielen over 65.5 receiving yards (-114); risk 1 unit at FanDuel

Week 9 Touchdown Props – Travis Kelce Anytime Touchdown

Back to the well with Travis Kelce. He didn’t find the endzone last week, but no one on the Chiefs did. He has found the endzone in four games this season. On Sunday morning in Germany against Miami, he looks a good bet to do so for a fifth time in the touchdown prop bets.

Miami has allowed the second-most receptions and the fifth-most yards to opposing tight ends.

  • NFL Player Prop Picks: Travis Kelce anytime touchdown (-120); risk 1 unit at DraftKings
